The Mewseum is a collection of thousands of cat figurines, music boxes, artwork, wood carvings, collector plates and just about everything cat related. There is also a large outdoor cat enclosure where you might catch a glimpse of some of the 8 rescue cats that call the Mewseum home, lounging around and doing cat stuff. The Mewseum is open the third Sunday of the month April- October from 11am-5pm. The suggested donation is $5 for adults, children 12 and under are free. All donations received will benefit a cat rescue group, adoption center or a spay/neuter clinic. If you'd like to visit on any day other than the 3rd Sunday, we offer private tours with a 24 hour advanced reservation. (So we can unhuman the Mewseum) Tours are available M-F 5pm-8pm and 11am-5pm on the weekend. Please understand that this is our home and we are currently not ADA compliant. Art Lounge offers so many options for art lovers, foodies, individuals, couples, or groups. We reserved a table for 4 that coincided with a large bridal painting party. Stacie made an exception for us and moved a table into the gallery area. They also accommodated our gluten free requirement as well. The gallery is a separate business sharing the space and makes for an wonderful atmosphere. Art Lounge serves Valentine Coffee and amazing in house created cheesecake, brownies and cookies during the day time, plus wine or beer with rustic Flatbread pizza or Charcuterie boards. Short weekend visit to Menomonee Falls, WI to visit family. Needed pumpkins for a work project so we stopped at the Pumpkin Farm off Silver Springs Road. Best pumpkins ever, the nicest people and the most fun set up. Prices were great! White and orange pumpkins, a great selection of gourds and a wide variety of pumpkin sizes. We arrived at the factory in Menomonee Falls and were just going to go to the gift shop, a lady that works there greeeted us and asked if we were there for the free tour or the paid tour we said just the gift shop, she said well if you've got 30 minutes we can do a free tour of the factory so we did and it was great. (the paid tour is a little longer and you get a hat and tee shirt for the price so either is good. we saw engines and transmissions being assembled ALL the staff were fantastic and I recommend doing the tour. My husband and I have been wanting to get to the Garcade for some time now. It was well worth the hour drive. $20 a person for all of the arcade, pinball, air hockey, etc. that you could ever want. We were pleasantly surprised to see some of our favorite arcade games from our youth--including Contra and Joust Pinball selection was AMAZING. It was nice that you can play from open until close as long as you have a wristband. We were able to get dinner and then return for more gaming. We plan on returning and bringing some friends. The trails run from the park into residential areas and a bridge connects it with to a ball field and a trail that runs along the river where where during the right time of year you can catch huge salmon spawning. I just rediscovered this park after moving back to the area. After the first visit I bought the annual sticker that is good for all Waukesha County parks. There are many hiking trails, one that goes around the quarry is my favorite. Dogs on a leash are also allowed and there is an area for them to swim. I had a great time! See more..
