   This course is a treat to play. Tucked away in the small town of Marksville, this golf course has exceeded my expectations multiple times.    I have visited the Paragon Casino several times - the hotel is absolutely awesome - and for the casino rate of under $28!!!! - Whirlpool bath, welcome gift basket, micro and fridge - in a very nice, spacious, clean new room. If you stay in the hotel, ask for a room in the North tower, they have the whirlpool tubs. Do NOT stay in the chalets in the RV park - they are rundown....FOr the same price get a hotel room. The casino is large with a good variety of games, and the staff is very helpful. One of our favorite places for a gaming trip. See more..

   We went just to the Nature Trail but if you view their website you can see there are lots of other things to do. When you get to the trail you have two options, natural trail and a paved one, we chose the paved as the other was flooded. This goes on for about half a mile and leads you on to a wooden stair way that takes you to an observation post. It was quiet when we went but will definitely go back again when the weather gets a bit warmer as i'm sure there will be lots of birds to see. See more..
