Just got back from Myrtle. We were there for a softball tourney. A friend of mine wanted to go fishing. I found Captain Smiley via Duck Duck Go search. We had an excellent time!! Weather was nice. We did the full day intracoastal trip. Our Guide "Buddy" was awesome!! Had some great stories and very knowledgeable about the water ways. We started great right out of the gate with 4 fish within an hr. Due to the time of year we mainly drift fished into the currents along the shore lines. We ended up with approximately 15 fish, 7 of them being keepers. All Speckled Trout. There were several very nice sized trouts!! We were debating whose hotel room we were cooking the fish in.. LOL... They suggested Crab Catches right down the road... Crab Catchers fried our fish up for a decent price. We got a load of fries, slaw and hush puppies. We ate like kings!! Overall a great outing.. What an amazing experience!! Our captain and his mate were wonderful!! Very knowledgeable about the area and offered to take our picture (with our phone). The ride itself was awesome! Beautiful boat. Comfortable seating. And then...the Dolphins OMG...so fun watching them jump the waves behind the boat. They love to play, the minute we spotted them and took off, here they came jumping and twirling. There were a family w 2 little ones. The adults were teaching the babies to jump. The owners were so friendly. We loved talking to them. He hand carved many of the items in the store and most of the other stuff is from Indonesia. The wife ( I can’t remember her name) told me all about Blackbeard being in Little River. Check out the newspaper articles on the back wall while you’re there. My husband bought a tiki statue and my daughter bought a parrot wind chime, both hand carved in Indonesia. Definitely stop by if you are in the area. See more..

Came to this location for a fund raising event for children. Great time had by all and a fantastic cause. Establishment was nostalgic yet super clean. Staff and volunteers were all spot on A+. We had great time and the lanes were fun and well cared for as were all the balls that we used. They have a full snack bar and lounge on site. This was the highlight of our vacation! The staff was incredibly nice, attentive, and informative. The boat ride was fun - the wind felt cool and the mist from the water was nice. We saw at least a dozen dolphins! The boat was full but didn't feel uncomfortable. We sat on the front row and it was great but next time we might try sitting at the very front of the boat. The boat's captain was entertaining and made sure to give each side of the boat equal dolphin viewing time. All ages were on board and everyone seemed to really enjoy the trip. My family loved it and would definitely go again. I would advise arriving early so you can choose the best place to sit. We arrived 45 minutes early and were probably around 30th in line and so we were able to sit under the cover (in the shade).. Anyone after we arrived had to sit in full sun. See more..

We thought this was a very nice place for a quiet hike through the woods and over the boardwalk. We ended up at a beautiful lake. We really enjoyed all the trees loaded with seashells - put there by visitors. We had never seen anything like it, so added our own, of course. There was a park there at the end of the trail and children played on the playground. There were also bathroom facilities in the park. Then we headed back pretty much the way we came but veered off on another trail part of the time. We would recommend this for anyone who wants a delightful easy hike. Four family members and I took a 1 1/2 hour Segway tour through North Myrtle Beach State Park and Sports Complex. Robbie, our instructor/guide, made our time as safe and fun as humanly possible. The fact that five of us rode over every imaginable type of terrain without a single mishap speaks volumes about the instruction we received and the trails we rode were absolutely beautiful. I've been here many times before and I'm pleased to report they have re done the "greens". There are 2 courses. We always do the one that you can walk through the volcano. Usually the volcano goes off 2 or 3 times per round but it only did it once during 18 holes. That was a little disappointing. This is a good alternative for people who want a fun corse and don't want to drive all the way to North Myrtle Beach. It's usually busy but moves along pretty well. I read some reviews about the staff being rude. They were pleasant enough. I guess it depends on your expectations of a clerk at a mini golf corse. See more..
