  1. 5.0 Triad Park (137 reviews)
    - Beautiful and convenient park
    Spent 2-3 hours Parks
    Triad Park image
This is a lovely jointly owned park of 426 acres, part located in Forsyth and some located in Guilford. It is pleasing and has a wide array of attractions. Two improvements recommended: maps need to be more accessible, and more trails need to be built in the woods; they have several beautiful ones but there is plenty of room and terrain for more ... there have been no new ones for years, and the current ones are very busy; woodland trails are a low intensity use and cause minimal interference with the environment. My husband and I had about 45 minutes before an appointment and stopped in to check it out. We immediately fell in love with it. It is the most organized and clean antique shop we have ever been in. We walked out with 3 items we bought and only saw a third of the place. We plan on coming back next week to walk the entire store. The staff is very friendly and helpful. See more..

  7. 4.5 Paul J Ciener Botanical Garden (96 reviews)
    - Beautiful Place
    Saturday: Gardens
Paul J Ciener Botanical Garden image
Even though it was a little past mid October when we went, there were plenty of flowers in bloom. When we turned in I had commented that maybe there's more than just mums in bloom. Boy, there was plenty more. I'd seen a review where one person said this place was mostly grass and not many flowers. I don't know where that person went, but it couldn't have been here. There are a lot of paths and side paths. Everywhere we went there were flowers blooming. I wish the gift shop and bathrooms had been open. I don't know if it was closed due to Covid or what. That seems to be the default blame for everything now. My 70 year old mom was my traveling companion on this trip. (I had to select who I was traveling with in this revue, but the only family option was with teens or young children.???) We'd been to the Daniel Stowe Botanical Gardens near Charlotte. This was smaller but better. I will definitely want to go back here during other times of the year. See more..
  8. 4.5 Kernersville Lake Park (14 reviews)
    - Great day fishing
Spent 2-3 hours Bodies of Water • Parks • Playgrounds
    Kernersville Lake Park image
We rented a row boat for 3 hours for $3 and had a blast. The lake is stocked regularly with catfish and sports a healthy largemouth population. If you don't want to go out in the boat there's plenty of shoreline fishing, a large picnic shelter, playground for the kids and walking trails. Never seems to be crowded either. Just remember they're closed on wednesdays See more..
  9. 4.5 Brewers Kettle (12 reviews)
    - Been going since the day they opened.. literally!
Spent 1-2 hours Speciality & Gift Shops • Wine Bars
I have frequented the Brewers Kettle in Kernersville since the day it opened.. literally. Constantly impressed with the extensive and ever changing selection of beer, wine, ciders and so on. This place has grown leaps and bounds since they opened, obviously due to the way they take care of patrons. The owner, along with the staff are friendly and on point. If you're looking for a place with a great vibe and laid back atmosphere, this is it. They have TONS of seating, mostly outdoors with areas to smoke (something so many appreciate while having a drink) as well as non-smoking of course. Frequently have food trucks (follow their social media to keep up!) and they surely dont mind if you hit a drive thru on the way and bring it with you either. (PS for those that dont like 'going to bars', this IS the place to go.. i typically dont like the bar scene, this place feels more like having a beer with buddies at a BBQ, cheers!) See more..

  16. 4.0 Pine Knolls Golf Club (1 review)
    - Fun golf course
    Golf Courses
I played Pine Knolls for the first time about one week ago. I was pleasantly surprised by the condition of the golf course and particularly, the greens. The greens actually held well struck approach shots! The fairways and tees were in decent condition. There is a driving range and practice putting green. The course is not very long and there aren’t many sand traps. I paid $34 to play and take a golf cart (on a Sunday). One could easily walk this golf course and carry your clubs. I would recommend this golf course as a good time. See more..

Ellington Jewelers Inc. opened their doors for business in August 2005. Since that time, owners Bruce and Angie Hutchins have been dedicated to dazzling their customers with their unique selection of jewelry. So why “Ellington Jewelers Inc.” instead of “Hutchins Jewelers”? Bruce’s middle name is Ellington and Ellington Jewelers Inc. just seemed to have a nice elegant ring to it. It’s a professional name to match the top-notch jewelry that they strive to offer their customers. They have expanded their diamond bridal line and have respectfully earned the right to be called “Kernersville’s Bridal Headquarters”. With experience since 1981 as a bench jeweler, Bruce is professionally trained and skilled in jewelry repairs, remounts, and engraving. And since all work is completed on-site, you can communicate with Bruce one-on-one. If there is anything you are looking for and you do not see it in the store, they can order it or possibly help to create the piece for you. Everyone needs a jeweler they can count on, one they can trust. Ellington Jewelers Inc. wants to have the opportunity to become your trusted jeweler. And since their overhead is low they are able to offer their customers better quality merchandise at lower prices. They invite you to compare their quality with other fine jewelry stores. You will be pleasantly surprised when you see how much you can save. Ellington Jewelers Inc. is located at 123 North Main Street in the historic downtown district of Kernersville.
