We love camping here. We have been twice so far and everything is nice a shaded with wonderful view of Smith Lake. The lots are large paved with fire rings and picnic tables. Water and electric hook ups. Bath house...............Hhmmm. The first time we were there only one bath house was working due to a plumbing issue. The second time the other were still closed due to COVID 19. That is the only downsize and the only reason I did not give 5 stars. All loops are nice for children and adults. We will be back and hopefully the bath houses will be working on the loop we love. See more..

I went a few years ago but this site reminded me what a wonderful peaceful place this is set apart from the hustle of town although Jasper still isn't huge it is nice to get away. I imagine if I could throw a rock a little ways we could hit the lake. We were going toward the Corridor X and passed by the lake and we live in Union Chapel. It was then we said we really need to take a trip there and take the dogs because they would love it as well. We live in the country anyway but it is always nice to be around the peace of water. My husband and I tried this place out on a Thursday night. It was pretty busy. They had 13 beers on tap and we tried them all. The Watermelon Gose, and Vanilla Joe Latte were our favorites. My husband closed his tab at this bar but forgot to pick up his debit card off the counter. When we went back the next day to see if it was there, they handed it to him with a receipt for $5. He asked what it was for and they said they figured since he left his card there he must not care about it and would cancel it and they wouldn't get paid. So they charged his card $5 without his consent or his signature. They said they do this ALL THE TIME. Isn't that illegal?! Obviously if he went back to get it, he cares about it. If he went back to get it, it wasn't canceled. He asked them to give him 2 beers for the $5 and they refused. They told him he shouldn't have forgotten his card on the counter. ??? He left a review on their Facebook page Sunday and they deleted it. Seems pretty shady to me.. See more..
