There are 5 plays a year here. This one "Jellofish" was very good. Funny and sad at the same time. The local tallent here is amazing! They have memberships for the 5 plays where the plays are discounted, or just pay for one at a time. They also will be renovating-updating the theatre very soon. I highly recommend this. See more..

We visited the Mandalay Refuge while in Houma for Voice of the Wetlands Music Fest. The path was everything you should expect. little standing water and fair amount of gravel to minimize the "mud"..worth every step when you get to observation platform to see the great open water and the birds around it.. Allow 30 to 60 minutes for walk in and out. Some poison ivy along the path so be aware. We had some cheap boots that allowed us to walk in/out without ruining our tennis shoes. Or wear shoes you don't mind washing once done. Mosquito spray before entering..We did see a gray snake run away from us.. some kind of "racer"... cool place with great birds and trail. and it is FREE... See more..

very nice establishment to relax, listen to music, have a drink, and hang out with friends. cover charge on entertainment nights for a low fee but free the rest of the week. Prices are reasonable and a wide selection of wines and beers. Smoke free which is a plus, but they do have a smoking room and pool table. Very clean and large to handle the masses.
