I took my sons to get their pre-certs done here in March for our trip in May. We had Dave as their instructor and he was fantastic. He even took time to explain drift diving as we were going to Cozumel. The lessons and pool time were fantastic and the teens really loved the teaching style. He was very patient ( I mean three teens lol). We have now been on our trip and both dive instructors were very impressed with our skills and remarked that we must had had a great teacher!!!!! Homestead Metro Park in Hilliard is a relatively small park compared to other Metro Parks in Columbus. What it lacks in size, it makes up with lovely displays of the history of the area. Refurbished / relocated historical buildings from the railroad period make for an informative visit to the park. There is a caboose, a railway ticket booth, and a travelers waiting area. Children will especially enjoy this park. In addition, the other main features are the about a mile-long walking trail, and a lovely lake. On the west side of the park runs the beautiful Heritage Trail (about six-mile long), which is great for walking, running, biking. Homestead Metro Park is a very popular park as I could observe from the several people visiting the park even in the middle of December. Certainly, make a stop here if you are in the area. See more..

Super cool adventure today to the Early Television Museum. Dedicated to pre and post WW II TVs. Founded by Steve McVoy who worked in a television repair shop after school. In 1999 he sold his cable television business, was looking for something to do with his time, and decided to collect early television receivers from the 1920’s on. The rest is history. This is a self-guided tour, and they have audio recordings telling you about many things within the museum. Also everything is labeled with lots of interesting information. Suggested cost of entry is only five dollars per person, and it is considered a “donation only”. They have some cool “merch” for sale too. Parking is free. Plan on spending about one hour at this museum. After visiting this neat place, take a short walk over to the Center Street Market where you can grab a cold beer and some vittles... See more..

The Heritage Trail Metro Park is a "rail to trail" park that extends from Hilliard Ohio and almost to Plain City. The 7 mile trail crosses through scenic farmland and several small parks along the way including Homestead park off Cosgray and the Heritage Park itself off Hayden Run Road. The Heritage Park has a playground and a large dog walking area. The trail itself is paved and I often see lots of bikers and roller-bladers on the trail. There is also a short horseback riding trail that runs parallel to the main trail for a few miles. It's a flat trail and not difficult at all, but it's a very scenic walk. See more..

Frank's Park offers soccer fields, children's play areas and a wonderful walking/jogging path. there is an oval paved walking/jogging path that encircles the park. It connects on one corner to Mudsock Trail. Mudsock Trail will take you about 2 miles south to Spindler Fields and Dog Park. On the opposite corner, the oval path connects to a new sidewalk/path that runs next to Frazelle Rd. This path/sidewalk will connect you to Hilliard Municipal Park and its paths and will also connect you to new paths that connect to Heritage Trail. So now one could start at Spindler Fields south of Roberts Rd and follow the trail/path/sidewalk to Heritage Trail. See more..

Heritage Trail in Hilliard is a beautiful asphalt paved trail (six mile long) repurposed from an abandoned railroad. It runs mostly flat starting in downtown Hilliard and then transitioning to a rural setting after a couple of miles. The trail goes almost to Plain City (where there is a sign about future plans to extend the trail another two miles to Plain City proper). There are a few road intersections on the trail but they are well-signed. The trailhead in Hilliard is a beautiful urban park (called Heritage Trail Park); and then, the trail skirts by the nice Homestead Metro Park (which has an additional 3/4 mile loop trail. Then the rest of the trail is rural with trees on either side of the trail. I thoroughly enjoyed my bike ride on Heritage Trail in December (no snow), but I am sure it will be much more enjoyable when trees are green. See more..

Could be comfy, but they need to take 1 or 2 chairs out of each row so they're not banging right up next to each other. The modern fixed, somewhat reclining, theater seats at the Lennox are more comfortable. I like the food/bar/movie concept but have never ordered anything. Previews were LOUDER THAN HAIL! the last time we were there. As promised it was only for them. Volume returned to human level for the movie. Picture quality was fine. Good staff. Our kids all love this place and it’s pretty clean compared with other facilities in Columbus of this type. Younger kid area and another bunch of areas for older kids.
