Fluor Field at the WestEnd image
We are new to the Greenville area, and decided to attend a minor league game. I can't stand for long periods of time, or walk long distances, so we took my ECV scooter. We parked at County Square and caught the trolley. The driver was so nice, helping us maneuver onto the trolley. Once at the game, I had no difficulty finding our place. On the Drive online site, I had secured a handicapped seat for my scooter and a regular chair for my husband (21.00). It was a great game between the Greenville Drive and Rome. The drive ended up winning, and there were awesome fireworks after the game. During the game, we met a nice man who worked there. Bob gave my husband and I great advice on various things to do and places to go to in the area. And after the fireworks, the same trolley driver made a point to get my husband and I on the first trolley, back to our car. See more..

All though it would be nice to see more of the small business' open as well during this event, many are not, that's a downside. See more..

  16. 4.5 Museum and Library of Confederate History (140 reviews)
    - Outstanding collection
    History Museums
Museum and Library of Confederate History image
I spotted this while driving through a side neighborhood. Was at first hestiant given the small size of the building...but was completely, pleasantly surprised with what I found inside. This Civil War period collection is impressive, and the curator/director Mike Couch may be the museum's best treasure. He easily spent 90 minutes with me explaining each display, often sharing facts/stories that added depth, color and meaning to each. While I'm not a Civil War buff, I do enjoy History; I left with a far greater appreciation of that period thanks largely to Mike. Note: some earlier comments have cited concerns that the presentations are one-sided and lack balance. That was not my impression...and Mike did not promote a singular view. Know that this collection focuses with pride on the role and significant contribution of South Carolina during that period. I say "well done"!. See more..

There's so many great things to this park. It's one of the oldest in the area and has been renevated multiple times to keep up with the locals and the "times". The city takes very good care of it. - Fun experience!
    Spent 2-3 hours Theaters
    Greenville Theatre image
Wife and I attended a screening of "The Play That Goes Wrong" as a part of the Greenville Newcomers Club. The theater is excellent - every seat is a good one. Looks to be pretty new, and easy parking too. The play was pretty funny - a murder mystery, but just about everything about the production manages to go wrong, from sticky doors to missing props, etc. Very well done. The cast and crew are all locals. This particular play runs Oct 21 to Nov 13, 2022. Play was just about 2 hours including intermission. See more..

    Bon Secours Wellness Arena image
This is the first time we have been to thus arena. Pleased with parking as we arrived about 90 minutes before the concert. The staff was really nice. Entry was a breeze. We typically get seats on the floor in the first few rows but bought tickets later than usual. We actually like our seats in section 103 row dd. The venue was very clean and I was impressed that there was an attendant in the rest rooms. Nice touch. Disappointed with the Pepsi product as they are behind the times as wishing they had COKE line with COKE Zero. Concessions were basics nothing special. The arena was very nice and we enjoyed seeing Mercy Me. We actually booked another concert while we were at the arena to see TobyMac in January. Great time! See more..
  28. 4.0 Greenville County Museum of Art (216 reviews)
    - Recovery
    Tuesday: Art Museums
Greenville County Museum of Art image
I’ve lived in Sumter, SC and upon entering the impressive TALL wooden doors was absolutely delighted to be greeted by the wooden mock-up of “Recovery” by Granger McCoy, whose final piece is in Swan Lake Iris Gardens in Sumter. I recognized it immediately and it made me happy. I wanted to see the Wyeth paintings and was introduced to a variety of other artists. We had some questions about some of the themes and statements of the art, and as we were finishing up one of the docents who had been leading another group asked our small family group if we had any questions. It was the end of the day, I believe from an overheard conversation with other staff that she was getting off work and heading to the beach, but she took her time and delightfully answered our questions in a very engaging way.
