We visited this past Saturday for the first time. Took a tour and then tasted their fine products. The flavored moonshines are awesome. During the tasting we tasted the Lemon Drop with the Blueberry and it was off the chain!. I gotta get a second job to support my moonshine habit! We came to see our granddaughters in their Spring dance recital and just love this spacious and beautiful venue. The seating is quite spacious, the stage is huge, and the sound system is fantastic. I don’t think there is a bad seat in the house and there is also a number of handicapped seating too. This is a venue you must visit. See more..

I visited twice in August. This is a large church, but appeared to be a very friendly and welcoming church. If you like a bible preaching church that tells it the way it is written in the bible, this is it. I felt like the preacher did an excellent job and would definitely go again when I am town again. The music was excellent as well. It was a blend that was very well done. As much as I like all kinds of music and I like it loud in my car, I do NOT like to feel like I am at a rock concert when I go to church. I like quality music and FBT did well with this. This couch does not seem to be the kind that looks to just entertain you on Sunday mornings: there is a real message here and I find that lacking in some churches I have visited. I have watched the church's live broadcast a few times and the consistency is there online and in person from what I have seen. See more..

I love going to the movies and heard this older theater had an upgrade. The upgrades were nice and the management was fabulous! Don’t know who the young man was in charge but professionally handled teens trying to sneak into R movies, friendly to families, very aware of his guests and staff. There were plenty of staff and they were helpful and cheerful. Concession priced reasonably with good combos! See more..

What a gem for this community. The park is laid out very well and allows for a casual stroll under the shade trees and the beautiful monuments. This also ties into the thread trail. Attended the Veterans Day program today that was also the unveiling of the WWII monument. Even with tornado threats earlier the rain stopped as the huge crowd honored our veterans. We went to Palmetto Peddlers while in town for a race nearby. The store is very large will a wide display of booths. Everything from Diecast Collectables, to furniture, military clothing, tools to assorted junk. The store is neatly laid out in isles the organization is left to the individual booth tenant. You really need to make few trips around the booths to see everything. The Decast Racing and Card booth was very neat. I found the prices a little expensive compared to other stores. The even had a sign a check out stating prices are not negotiable below 100 dollars. The store appears to be located in an old factory or warehouse. Parking is easy and the atmosphere inside was relaxing. We will return. See more..

We went to the Pee Dee State Famers Market. We had a good time, they had lots of items to purchase you could drive through the building. they also had a nice tractor show going on and there is also a very nice antiques store on site with a wide variety of items to purchase. Parking is easy and the covered market is very well set up and clean. They are located just off the interstate and would make a great stop during a trip. We will stop by again. See more..

If you like browsing junk, you'll love it here, especially if you're not one who cares too much about a bit of a mess and maybe the ceiling leaking here or there. We went to the Civic Center for the Alabama Concert. The venue was great and the surrounding area left a lot to be desired. After the concert we tried to find food 10pm at night the Waffle House would not serve anyone at the restaurant except limited take out and would not acknowledge people. IHOP was a joke so if you see a show don't plan to eat after it. As far as the civic center, the concessions were a bit slow but good food and not expensive. The staff was very friendly. See more..

Sparrow Stadium, on the campus of Francis Marion, is really well done small college ballpark. The stadium is used during the summer by the Florence RedWolves of the Coastal Plains league for college players. It's a solid stadium, albeit small, but with lots of big park amenities. There is a picnic area with covering down the right field line. There are standing tables uncovered down the right field line. The left field line includes round tables with shade umbrellas. There are regular seats in the lower bowl and bleacher seats (with seat backs) in the upper bowl. Looks like when packed they might seat 900-1000. There is a brick facade around the ball park and a very nice entrance down the left field line. In the front are ponds with several fountains. The sound system was a little garbled but otherwise, for a ballpark this size, they have done an extremely nice job. See more..
