    Port Royal Cigars image
We live in Tiffin, and this is where we go when my husband needs to stock-up on cigars. I’ve been known to order variety packs of cigars for my husband’s birthday or for Father’s Day. Although he appreciates the gesture, he’s told me not to bother. Instead, I should drive to Port Royal Cigars, tell the owner my husband’s name and give him my budget. He says I can’t go wrong. 8. 5.0 Fort Findlay Playhouse (1 review)
    - Really good community theater
    Theaters
I scoured the internet for an 'experiential gift' in Findlay for someone whe lives there. (I don't, and I don't know the area at all) I came upon a play performance that sounded fun, and purchased 4 tickets online. I (silently) gasped when I got to town and learned the performance was a community theater production inside a renovated church. But thankfully, this turned out to be a very good (and fun!) performance. The music was live, although the musicians were not visible. They had a bit of a rough start, but once the show was rolling I didn't notice musical errors again. The set was simple yet sufficient. They clearly have very talented painters. The actors were very good. They projected well, remembered their lines, performed well, and carried their characters nicely. The venue is small, and the front row was VERY close to the stage (thrilled I opted for 2nd row). While the play I saw wasn't interactive with the audience, the venue would suit that. Overall, $15/ticket was well worth it for a fun night, a well done play, and supporting a great cause in Findlay. See more..

    - Cool place!
Sunday: 1:00 PM - 4:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Speciality Museums • History Museums
    Hancock Historical Museum image
The museum began with the acquisition of the Hull-Flater House at 422 West Sandusky Street, and first opened to the public in 1971. The house was built in 1881 by Jasper Hull, co-founder of the Findlay Artificial Gas and Light Company, and was one of the grandest homes of the day. Today, the home still serves as the welcoming “front porch” of an expansive development that has grown to nine facilities, including the Little Red Schoolhouse and the new Marathon Energy & Transportation Annex. In addition to an expansive campus, the museum houses more than 70,000 books, photographs, manuscripts and artifacts in its collections. Without the efforts of the Hancock Historical Museum, we would lose many of the stories, buildings, memories and treasures – and the lessons they hold – for future generations. See more..

Nice hiking trails and the barn is used to hold graduation parties, anniversaries, etc. Have used the kitchen within the barn and always found it clean and plenty of space to prepare food for your guests. Not only do they have a GREAT selection of guns, the authentic western memobilia throughout makes this place not just a stop but a destination! Brian (not me) took the time to talk with us and tell us about everything in the store. If you like REAL western memorabilia, as well as, everything gun related, make plans to go there. 21. 4.0 Oakwoods Nature Preserve (1 review)
    - Beautiful Forested Park
    Parks
    Oakwoods Nature Preserve image
My family and I took a walk on some of the nature trails at Oakwoods Nature Preserve. The trails were well maintained for the most part and made for nice relaxing hikes. There are several lakes. There were also a lot of trees and flowers to see as well. Most of the trails are flat with the exception of a couple of sections. We had a stroller for the baby and had little trouble navigating. There was a longer loop a few miles long that we didn’t do. The two shorter trails we did took about an hour and a half to complete. It’s a good park to visit to stretch the legs when in the area. See more..
  22. 3.5 Red Hawk Run Golf Club (5 reviews)
    - Midwestern Links Course East of Findlay
Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
Red Hawk Run is a championship, links style, golf course in Northwest Ohio. As typical of links style courses, trees are not a major hazard, rather two lakes, Sand Run Creek, numerous bunkers, as well as the prominent knee high heather just off the fairways add to the accurate shots incentives. They offer five sets of tees with a length of 7,400 yards from the back tees or 5,000 yards from the front. This provides a range of challenges for all skill levels. The Bentgrass throughout course was in great shape from tees to greens (built according to USGA specifications) the day our two foursomes played. The greens were in perfect condition and appropriately fast. We had a great time playing and definitely will return. Their clubhouse two is large, with a full bar and as well as a snack bar. They do not have much in the way of golf equipment or clothing, so bring what you need with you. As an aside Champion PGA Tour Professional, John Cook, has taken the reign at Red Hawk Run. See more..
