    Quicksilver Gallery image
This is the first time we have popped into Quicksilver and had the shop full of other shoppers. I’m happy to see other people enjoying the place, but it made it harder to look at everything. All the same, we perused the jewelry cases and found a bin with some beautiful pen drawings. Downstairs was full of more artwork and garden art. I really wanted to by another bird picture for my parents, but my mother forbade me from getting another one. My mom bought one little item and we had a nice chat with the lady at the register. It was a great time, with lots of great stuff to look at. See more..

    Zarks Fine Design Gallery image
We popped in the gallery after peeking in the window, little did I know that I would fall in love with a new artist. Susan was informative about the artists and was able to answer all of our questions. I fell in love with the work of Craig Davinson (even shedding a tear over his "With Liberty & Justice For All" piece). Zarks is the only gallery in the US to sell his work. Overall, the gallery had wonderful collections and Susan was so friendly. We will now always stop in when we are in Eureka Springs. See more..

We hit the water before noon and after renting two canoes and a paddle boat we spent around $60 for the two young ladies and wife and I. Quite peaceful and quiet we journeyed around the lake without hearing one word from anyone else. You can fish off the dock. Rent a camp site for your tent or RV with hookups. Very relaxing. The rental for canoes was for one hour and for us that was plenty of sun and time on the water. See more..
  9. 4.5 Basin Spring Park (201 reviews)
    - A must-see when visiting NW Arkansas, but very crowded and busy
    Spent < 1 hour Parks
    Basin Spring Park image
Eureka Springs is a town that was built around mineral springs many years ago. It definitely retains its historic charm and downtown with lots of restaurants and shopping. It was worth the drive, but the town was super crowded, and it was beyond difficult to find parking on narrow streets built into the hillsides. We ended up in a paid parking lot by dumb luck. So just be aware of this when you go and be prepared to pay or walk a long way. We ate lunch on the balcony of the hotel, and the view of the town was wonderful. Afterwards we walked around the area of the springs, although the actual spring is now piped. See more..

If you are in town to see the city, buy the transit pass. One pass acesses all the routes of this very hilly town, and saves you looking for a parking spot in a small, busy town....the routes are available on line, with several to choose from, one pass is good all day, for multiple routes. The red route shows you the historical downtown parts, the blue route gets you to the Passion play, air conditioned and modern, its a good service. See more..

    The Barn Shoppes image
We had so much fun here. We spotted it on the way home from Eureka Springs and stopped in to check it out. We ended up spending about two hours. They have a huge variety of antique items of all sorts, and they are very well organized so you can see everything as you walk around in one direction or the other. The prices are very reasonable. And the person working there was very nice. We bought several items for our home. See more..
  14. 4.5 Eureka Springs Brewery (21 reviews)
    - Simple and welcoming
    Breweries
    Eureka Springs Brewery image
We love tastings and decided to pop into Eureka Springs Brewery right after Keels Creek Winery, just down the road. Don't let the sketchy motel being torn down scare you away! The brewery has plenty of parking out front and masks were required indoors when we visited. We talked over the menu and tap options with the bartender and spent $9 on the four samples pictured. I enjoyed the Hefeweizen fine but my boyfriend really didn't like his Brown Ale. The back porch was spacious and the view was expansive and gorgeous. There is frisbee golf and cornhole set up in front of large trees. Would definitely come back our next time in town, they had more on tap I'd like to try. See more..
  15. 4.5 Eureka West Antiques Market (19 reviews)
    - Great Variety of Antiques
    Spent 1-2 hours Antique Shops
    Eureka West Antiques Market image
This place is huge, with a very diverse assortment of antiques. They have a very heavy focus on antique fishing equipment. The place is packed, so it takes some time to go through it all. After buying some items one day, we drove back the next day to specifically buy a small antique desk and chair. The three old dudes that run the place were great to talk to and were very knowledgeable. We hit a number of different antique stores, and this was the only one that got us to drive an hour and return the next day. See more..
  16. 4.0 Quigley's Castle (547 reviews)
    - Very neat place to see
    Tuesday: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Castles
    Quigley's Castle image
Motorcycles beware of the driveway! You enter off the highway on a corner and it's a bit sharp. The drive itself is hard packed but a bit rough. Take it easy and be aware that the grade is steep. There is grassy and gravel parking at the end of the driveway. Admission fee of 8 dollars a person to see this unique place was worth it. There's a bit of a story that goes with the design and building of this "castle home". The family still lives and cares for it. The gardens are beautiful and if you love unique history and fiesty ancestors it's a fun stop. See more..

  22. 4.0 Black Bass Lake City Park (41 reviews)
    - Great Short Hike
Spent 1-2 hours Bodies of Water • Parks • Hiking Trails
Black Bass Lake City Park image
So it turns out that my parents lead a hike here for their hiking group and there is the long hike and a short hike. We opted to do the short hike that goes along the lakes perimeter. However the first thing you see leaving the parking lot is that the dam which creates the lake is leaking in two spots and needs some serious repair work done. The hike along the edge of the lake is pretty easy save the hike up at the start. He saw lots of flowers plus slider turtles and salamanders. My dad did take me off on a side trail to see a beaver den that wasn’t two far from the first bridge you cross. The second bridge is under repair but as the stream bed was dry when we were there we could easily bypass the bridge. Really fun and worked up a big appetite. See more..
  23. 4.0 Magnetic Spring (26 reviews)
    - Great little stop on the way to the Christ of the Ozarks...
    Hot Springs & Geysers
    Magnetic Spring image
This is a little stop carved into the hillside w/ a picnic table, carved into the hill off the side of the road. The water is clear and cold. Though the water was drunk in early times as a panacea for many ailments...and the sign even claims that ferrous metal objects left in the water will become magnetized, I guess this process may take time, since it did not work for me in the short time I was there. Due to the fact folks are putting things in the fountain that has much algae growing in it, I chose not to test it's a curative properties. See more..
  24. 3.5 Pivot Rock and Natural Bridge (301 reviews)
    - Interesting
    Hiking Trails • Geologic Formations
Pivot Rock and Natural Bridge image
This interesting area of rock formations is accessed through the gift shop with a $6 admission price. The trail is easy (a slight grade in some areas) & makes a loop back to the starting point. We enjoyed our short walk in the woods & took lots of photos of the natural rock walls & odd rock formations along the way. I was disappointed that the gift shop had so little of its own merchandise. I really wanted some postcards, but all they had of their own were magnets. Be aware that the road in, Pivot Rock Rd., is narrow & curvy. We questioned if we were going the right way more than once.
