   After hearing rave reviews from our neighbors, we decided to venture out to try this spot. We chose to go at opening on a Thursday as we are trying to avoid crowded times due to COVID. The staff person was very friendly. We were welcomed into this barn on an actual 150 year old farm that has been delightfully redone to house the taproom. There is ample, airy seating indoors. There is also a large outdoor patio with tables (and umbrellas) for those who prefer the open-air. A built-in stage outside also welcomes live music on the weekends. The beer was solidly good. Our favorite was the Oatmeal "Snout", but we really enjoyed all the beer names that are connected to the farm such as Crop Duester and Pig Farmer Pale Ale. Great selection of beers with some summer and IPA variations. There are also guest taps and sodas available. Some snack food is available such like pizza and a really, really huge pretzel!    I recently organized a party at Sperino's for a group of approximately 100 people. Kristin and the rest of the Sperino's staff did an amazing job. Kristin was consistently helpful, patient and professional during the planning process. The party coincided with a major playoff game for Blackhawks and when I expressed concern that we might lose a lot of attendees, she suggested that we utilize their projector and big screen to have the game playing in the background. The crowd loved it! The food is consistently good and they do a very nice job in presentation. But most importantly, the wait staff and bartender, Laura, were over the top in their enthusiasm for embracing the crowd.    Picture an 1837 general store building with animals displayed in the front window. You enter & to your left are deer, pronghorn sheep, birds & fish preservations as well as numerous arrowheads. To your right are dinosaur bones. Jim Boyd, proprietor, is in the rear of the building. If you have a bit of time, please engage this gentleman. You will not be sorry. A self-taught taxidermist, self-taught archaeologist, photographer & artist, Mr Boyd has so many interesting memories & stories to share. My husband & I found this museum on a road tripper app. While we were talking with Mr Boyd, a family came in as well as a neighbor who had never stopped in. All of us thoroughly enjoyed our visit!    Good variety of runs. Probably best for mid-level skiers. Fairly cheap weekend rates for lift tickets and rentals. Easy parking, $6 for a good beer. 90ish minutes from Chicago. Staff was helpful, crowds were light and friendly. They have ski-in rooms that are right on the hill. It is much more scenic than local tiny spots like Wilmot. We had a lucky day of fresh snow and no ice. We got what we paid for and I'll go back for certain. See more..

   The venue is beautiful, but the $36 beers leave a bad taste in your mouth. I know all venues take the chance to rob you blind once they have you confined, but Alpine Valley takes it to a whole new level. I will go back for sure, but will never buy another beer. See more..

    Buyer beware do not purchase anything from this dealership or walk on their lot you will be sorry. I'm from Ohio and purchased what was supposed to be a brand new 80K boat sight unseen because it was advertised as a brand new boat. It was delivered to me with damage rust scratches scuffs and filthy and they already had my money so I had no choice but to fight after the fact. It's been over two months now and I still don't have anything resolved and I still don't have title to the boat. I'm trying to spread the word because I don't want anyone else to go through what I've been going through. They won't let me speak to anyone but a finance person they won't let me talk to the owner they won't let me talk to anyone they ignore my calls and emails like the plague.
