  2. 5.0 The Pottery House (1 review)
    - An Excellent Choice for a Girls Day
Spent 2-3 hours Paint & Pottery Studios
My friend and I were looking for something to do on our girls day, besides shopping. One suggestion was to paint your own pottery. This was a great idea since we like doing crafts and this was something new. After countless searching, we almost lost hope (searched for places in North Louisiana, East Texas, even Mississippi) A friend made the suggestion of a The Pottery House in El Dorado, Ar. The Pottery House is located inside the Main Street Antiques & More. The shop offers a wide variety of pottery selection to choose paint. I found the pottery to be reasonably priced. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I cannot wait to travel back to paint more pieces. See more..

Wow! I’ve been attached to this place since opening weekend, when I got to attend the Brad Paisley concert! He’s been on my bucket list for years, but I never thought I’d be able to see him here! Since then, I’ve seen Smoky Robinson, Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, and I’ve got tickets for the Tracy Lawrence/Clay Walker/Tracy Byrd concert!!!! Part of my 50-year high school reunion was held here, I’ve been to planning meetings, and I’ve experienced first hand the attention and care extended to patrons having health issues! I was overcome by heat exhaustion on the occasion of one August concert, and was cared for on site by experienced and licensed health professionals in an outstanding manner! Since I’m a retired nurse, this meant a lot to me. Sure, it was loud, but so were every other concert venue I’ve ever been in! It’s a great place to visit and the offerings are outstanding! My grandmother's house was next store to the Newton house. In the 50's I lived next door with my grandparents. The house was always a mystery. I got to go inside and learned of the history of this home. It is worth the visit. My grandmother's home burnt down in the late 50's early 60's. See more..
  7. 4.5 Mystic Creek Golf Club (4 reviews)
    - Gem of a course in El Dorado AR
    Golf Courses
    Mystic Creek Golf Club image
Built in 2013, by the El Dorado based Murphy Oil Company; Mystic Creek is a gem of a course. The greens are treacherous, but you now know that, so plan your second, third (or fourth) shot accordingly. As locals told us, "If the pin is in a certain area of the green, you'll have to hit your shot exactly to that area". Very true. Well maintained and with water and traps galore on every hole, you need to warm up, and shoot accurately. I'm 15 handicap, my wife 12-13; and we played the White & Red tees. IMHO- if you're over a 12 handicap- play the Yellow tees (slope 125, 5577 yards). Sounds short, but with hazards and water, as well as the touchy greens- you'll see. Patio restaurant wasn't open, but food to go, can be ordered. It's Troon affiliated, so we paid $70/ea. The clubhouse appears brand new. Staff was very nice. No carts in the parking lot. large practice green is representative of course. See more..

  10. 4.0 Oil Heritage Park (1 review)
    - Pleasant Commemorative Park
    Parks
    Oil Heritage Park image
This small park is a pleasant place to stop and take a break in El Dorado's beautiful downtown area. This part of Arkansas owes a lot of its history and its period of greatest wealth to the oil strike in the 1920s that was reminiscent in many ways of the California gold rush of another time. Oil Heritage Park recalls a bit of this time. See more..
