    Tower Ridge Recreational Area image
36 holes of disc golf that are very challenging. Lots of trees and hills. The "old" 18 is much more hilly but with very developed fairways, while the new course is flatter and a bit shorter but still fun. The area also has X-country ski trails with a warming house. See more..
  4. 5.0 Northwest Park Bike Trails (5 reviews)
    - Hidden Gem
    Hiking Trails
If you've heard of this bike trail, you're in the minority. Just off of Jeffers road on the north side of Eau Claire, you'll find Northwest Park. Not as technical as Lowes Creek (good for a novice like me) this trail is great for MTB newbs and hikers as well. Spray yourself with insect repellent though. But, I'd say that about any wooded trail. Happy, safe riding! See more..
  5. 5.0 K Point Brewery (2 reviews)
    - A Perfect Blend!
    Wednesday: Breweries
    K Point Brewery image
This brewery is in a shared building -- with a coffee shop/café. Therefore, you can guess where the coffee comes from for their really tasty Coffee Stout. Being this was brewery visit #103 for us, and I have had my share of coffee stouts, I can confidently say this is one of, if not THE, best. There was a nice variety of beers on tap brewed by the owner/retired dentist of which you can tell there is a focus on small-batch, creative beer brewing. Snacks available; no food menu. Our bartender spent quite a bit of time chatting with us and making us feel welcome to the cozy establishment. There is also outdoor seating (with fireplace for colder months). Easy on/off from I-94 makes this a perfect stop when we pass through Eau Claire. See more..

  11. 4.5 Carson Park (204 reviews)
    - GREAT experience at the baseball park.
    Parks
    Carson Park image
We drove from Rochester MN with a family of 5 to see an Express vs Rochester Honkers game. What a great place for baseball. The park was easy to get to, had lots of free parking, the tickets were inexpensive and the food and drink were down right cheap, but good. We sat in the left field bleachers. I could see the right field seats and special deck seating from our bleacher seats. I personally would avoid the right field line and outfield unless you wanted direct sunlight. See more..

Had a limited amount of time to visit this brewery, but were very impressed with how large and efficient it was since it moved across the street. We did a couple samplers and a pint of IPA before leaving for a dinner commitment. The brews were very interesting (took a 4 pack with us), and the service excellent. We were also impressed with the dog friendly atmosphere. See more..

L.E. Phillips Memorial Public Library image
I moved here from a series of places that had sub-par libraries (after living 20+ years in Seattle, with a super system.) I nearly cried with happiness when I visited the library here. It is big, welcoming, with a good selection of books, periodicals, newspapers, etc, and a system of member libraries to supplement what is here. I have to give a shout out for the people working at the library, as well - they are unfailingly helpful, polite, and friendly. Such a deep pleasure to have this asset to the community! See more..

The outside of the building doesn't look like much but once inside there is a clean, modern, large beautiful area for tasting your beer. The bartender was friendly and explained the history of the place which was interesting. Beer I had was a strawberry radler which has less alcohol and more juice and I loved it. It was tasty. - Great mid size mall!
Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Shopping Malls
    Oakwood Mall image
This is a great mall. I live near the MOA, and the smaller, but still 2 storied Maplewood Mall. The Oakwood Mall has pretty much everything a person needs all on one level. They have a lot of variety, and are anchored by JC Penney, Younkers, Sears, and Scheels department stores. Scheels is so large- I mean huge! My daughter went nuts in this sports store, and found shoes, basketball shorts, sweat pants and socks! All brands are represented, and we loved looking around at all the goodies in here. We had lunch at the TGI Fridays that is attached. We would recommend this mall to everyone! See more..
