We sailed with Captain Steve and crew on Thursday, September 1, 2022. It was amazing. We tried to book it last year, but; they were completely full so we were so happy to have the experience this year while we were in vacation in Eagle River. The lakes are so beautiful and the trip was a great time. We sat on top with Captain Steve and it felt like he was our personal tour guide which was really awesome. We saw eagles, eagles nests, other wildlife and learned about the area in a "new" way (from the water view instead of the road view). We came back on Saturday and listened to a fun band and enjoyed their delicious pizza and specialty drinks. The staff was friendly, the grounds are beautiful, the boat trip was awesome and we would highly recommend it for all ages. Thank you. This was one of the highlights of our vacation. My daughter needed a lot of driving hours and I have been eyeing a specific SUP (Liv2Fish) that is not found in many places in the Midwest. After some research I chose to drive up to Eagle River due to a couple conversations on the phone and great customer reviews. I am so glad we chose to buy from Jason at Wildwood Outdoor Adventures. They were good people with kindred spirits. We arrived late and Jason stayed after hours to get me all set up for the long trip home. My only regret is that the weather was really crappy and we were not able to spend more time. I felt like I made a close friend in the hour we were there! This trail is not unlike multiple others in the area - it's hard to tell one from another. But for those who love North-woods, you've got to try them all. This trail stands out for being pretty short - a mile or so - so unlike some other trails where you wander into unknown and then have an arduous hike back, this trail is pretty doable for everyone. On top of that, portion of this trail is wheelchair-accessible. The trail goes through gorgeous old-growth forest, affords a view of the lake, and offers plenty of mushrooms if you're into that pastime. See more..

Another local salon cancelled my nail appointment with less than 24 hours notice just days before my wedding. I called Salon & Spa on Railroad expecting to be told they were fully booked and couldn't help me either. Instead, they were incredibly kind and managed to work me in the very next day. Courtney, who did my nails, was super sweet and did a great job. She even offered to hold a spot the day before the wedding in case I messed up my nails and needed to come in and get them fixed. I was very impressed with the salon and the service, and so appreciate of their going out of their way to help me at such a stressful time. This will be my go to salon in Eagle River from now on. Loved this little place! Visited on a Saturday and arrived just after they opened at 1pm. I would recommend it, because it got a lot busier. Highly recommend the Blueberry Train beer. It took a little driving to find, but it was a nice store. Lots of cranberry candles, soaps, foods and of course wines. Didn't do a cranberry tour, but they offer them also. We were also able to get fresh berries since the harvest was not that long ago. This is the first time we saw cranberries in the area because we usually go to the Western part of Wisconsin. I've been playing this course about once every year or two on my vacations to Wisconsin to visit family over the past 20+ years. I love this course and the layout. It may be short on the scorecard but if you don't hit the ball into the fairways, this course will ruin your scorecard in a hurry. Beautiful scenery all around and very challenging course.
