AMP’s main road circuit is a two mile long road course that was designed by Formula One track architect Herman Tilke. The track consists of 16 turns and 98 feet of elevation change. Two famous corners were incorporated into the track: Spa-Francorchamp’s corner of Eau Rouge and the famous Carousel corner from Germany’s Nürburgring track. AMP’s karting circuit is 8/10ths of a mile in length and was also designed by Tilke. The track features 17 turns and 43 feet of elevation change, which is pretty extreme when you are riding two inches off of the ground. The track has quite a bit of character built-in as well, with a near four-story drop into a 180 degree hairpin and one of the longest straightaways of any kart track in the country. See more..

We stayed at the Wine Valley Inn and Cottages who recommended Bill and Donn to us.I spoke to Donn over the course of several months planning a trip with 8 others to go wine tasting. Donn was very helpful and gave me several options. Both Donn and Bill met us on Monday and drove us to 4 wineries of my choosing. Most wine tours choose for you. They arrived early and we boarded the two vans. They drove very carefully to the first winery, the only one of the day on Monday. We used them as a taxi rather than a tour van just for Monday. The vans were clean, they both were extremely friendly and made us laugh. When we were finished I sent a text to Donn and they came for us in a very short time. The next day we arranged to be picked up at 1, Bill was able to use a larger van so we could all be together. We went to four wineries. We were not rushed. We were impressed with how safely he drove and the immaculate vans. See more..

So much fun getting out in the beautiful GA mountains and doing some shooting. My entire family (14 year old twins, 20 yr old & my husband & I ) had a memorable time. If your a women & not use to shooting get a arm/shoulder pad so you don't get sore or black and blue especially if your doing a lot of shooting. We will be back next year when we come to Blue Ridge. Whenever we have visitors from out of town, we like taking them to the Dawson Forest Wildlife Management Area that is located on Dawson Forest Rd just 6 miles west of the North Georgia Premium Outlet Mall. They are always astounded to find the 3-story solid concrete hulk of the cold-war nuclear reactor hiding in the forest. On our most recent visit in June 2021, we found an abundance of wildlife, particularly reptiles. The Eastern Box Turtle laying eggs along the hiking path was fascinating, as was the baby toad smaller.than a bumble bee. Highly recommend a visit. See more..

This resale shop is an upscale boutique with very nice home furnishings, clothing, books, art, and much more. The store is immaculately clean and beautifully laid out, with separate rooms for clothing, kitchen wares, baby (and fur baby) items, and even a whole separate "store" for furniture. The merchandise is top-notch and the prices are very reasonable. It is always a pleasure to just stop in and browse, and sometimes I find wonderful treasures that I simply must take home. The store is located near the outlet mall, in a small strip shopping center. The store is operated by volunteers, and all profits are used to care for the animals at the animal shelter. See more..

We enjoyed browsing around the Farmers Market in downtown Dawsonville last weekend. There were local farmers with great fresh produce, including big beautiful tomatoes, honey, onions, beans, squash, sunflowers, lamb meat, and more. There were also vendors with homemade soaps, lotions, and garden art. We were lucky to visit on one of the Friday nights when the farmers market is combined with food trucks. The food was outstanding and the young kids enjoyed the bouncy castle. Check with the city of Dawsonville if you want the food truck schedule. Definitely visit the farmers market for great local produce. See more..

We stopped into the Bowen Center for the Arts to see their "Enchanted Forests" Photography exhibition and competition. We spent about 30 minutes wandering through the historic "Rock Schoolhouse", marveling at the talents of the photographers with works on display. This venue is bright and calming at the same time, and it is a peaceful place to just browse. The gift store offers reasonably priced works of art which could make perfect gifts. I purchased a signed copy of, "Mountains and Waterfalls of North Georgia", which is both a beautiful coffee table book and a great guide book. The displays in the Bowen Center change throughout the year, so their is always something new and interesting to see. Admission is free. It is worth a stop if you have some time while you are in the area. They also offer art classes, and the venue can be rented for private functions. See more..

Enjoyed the farm. Beautiful place and good prices on pumpkins. Great scenery on the hay ride! I did find it unfortunate that there were virtually no places to sit. I saw several older people looking miserable because they were tired. My friend has cancer and was out of breath walking around the place. Fortunately her son was able to convince one of the employees to loan her a folding chair so she could have a place to rest and she was able to enjoy our time there but I heard others saying they were just going to leave because they would be unable to navigate the place and see everything. We went here today for an appearance by NASCAR driver Chase Elliot. Chase is an up and coming championship contender who was here for the upcoming AMS race. It was an autograph session which in my opinion didn’t go so well. There was provably 2-3 hundred people and time allocated for autographs was maybe an hour or so. People who bought tickets to the upcoming Atlanta race were given priority over general admission. Needless to say we did get autographs but no problem we’ll see him at the shop this summer. Got to see him and the unveiling of the new pace car which was nice. Come visit the museum, it’s filled with history of racing from Bill Elliot, father of Chase. And a lot more. Had a great time with my convention group at the Dawesonville Moonshine Distillery! I wish they made a candle of that moonshine mash smell since I love that smell. Some folks didn't but I did. The tour was awesome and informative. The staff was friendly and awesome. And the Owner met with us. She was warm and proud. Thank you for meeting with us Cathy! We and my boyfriend visited here this past weekend and did the level 3 zip line tour. It was very fun and we enjoyed it very much. Morgan and Elizabeth were our guides and they were very friendly and helpful. There were several people who had never zip lined in the group we were in and they helped walk them through everything. I would suggest level 2 or 3 for anyone who is not a novice. Level 1 I would say is for beginners and an introduction to how to zip line. All 3 levels took about 3 hours to complete. There are several zip lines and several bridges. The last zip line is half a mile long and has some incredible views of the mountains. Would definitely recommend! See more..

We arrived at the park and it was packed; no COVID-19 social distancing here. The lower lot by the visitors center was full and we were directed to the parking lot at the top of the falls. We viewed the waterfall from the platform at the tip, then made our way down the East Ridge Trail. When we arrived at the bottom we snapped photos at the arch and used the restrooms. Make sure to bring water to stay hydrated the vending machines were sold out. We took the Creek Trail back up the falls, stopping to skip rocks at the pond. The water was cool and refreshing on our feet. Once we made it back to the top, we posed for celebration selfies and drove to the nearest Dollar General for Nutty Buddy ice creams. See more..

I made a surprise sloth coffee cup for my hubby and had it shipped back to home as we were on a trip. Received it today as it had to baked in kilth oven. Definitely will do again when in area again.
