I’ve done almost 70 spartan races a couple of terrain races and 1 rugged maniac and I must say Savage race was a blast the grip obstacles are a lot of fun! A lot of water to fall into and Davyjones locker was a big jump into water! I did it open wave this time next time I would like to try competitive! Venue was very nice rolling trails but all were wide trails. Savage is definitely worth trying ! See more..

I visited on February 5. Admission was free thanks to the Georgia Historical with promotion by Delta Airlines. Normal admission is very reasonable. All-Terrain Georgia Action Track Chair can be reserved to allow trail access. 4 miles of trails can be hiked 7 days a week. Definitely dog friendly. There is a small museum that is open Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9-5. There are picnic facilities and community room available for rent. Check their website for different Civil War reenactment events. There is also an 1850 homestead and cabin that is sometimes open with an interpreter. Nice quiet park in NW Georgia. See more..
  8. 4.5 The Dallas Theater (28 reviews)
    - Little Gem
Spent 1-2 hours Theatre & Performances
    The Dallas Theater image
Took my mom here to watch the Wildflowers: The Women of Country Music. It was our first time here. Loved this little theater. Very comfortable and clean. Has this amazing old school glamour to it. We sat in the middle and the acoustics were wonderful. I doubt there is a bad seat in the house. I will most definitely be back for future performances. We parked in the public parking area that was well lit and only about a minute or two minute walk. See more..
  9. 4.5 High Shoals Falls (27 reviews)
    - Nice outing
    Thursday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Waterfalls
    High Shoals Falls image
Google initially took us to the wrong place, but thankfully there were brown signs that gave more accurate directions. I only gave a “4” rating due to so much trash. If you are so inclined, take bags and gloves and be a blessing. The falls were actually bigger than I had anticipated. It was only a short walk and worth the trip for anyone living in the area or visiting. See more..
  10. 4.5 Mt. Tabor Park (11 reviews)

  12. 4.0 Paulding County Historical Society and Museum (2 reviews)
    - A good deal of history packed into this local gem
    History Museums
Paulding County Historical Society and Museum image
The museum is housed in the first schoolhouse in Dallas (1860). It's open on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month from 10am-1pm. Admission is $2.00 for adults and $1.00 for children. The museum has three main exhibit rooms with awesome antique exhibit cases and photographs that tell the story of the county's education, civic, agriculture, military, and homelife history. The guides are local residents and know a great deal about the region's history. I loved the 1840s wooden water pipe from the original county seat of Van Wert and the tools and items from the county's industrial history. The building itself and the floors were cool too! The Civil War soldier mannequin was neat and would make a great selfie spot! In fact, there is a lot packed into this small school house museum! It's worth a visit to support and learn local history!
