   I purchased blackberries and a big watermelon that was guaranteed to be perfect. When I cut the melon in anticipation of a delicious melon I was very disappointed to find a "bad melon". I returned to the product market and told them what I experienced and offered a picture of the fruit but without hesitation I was told to pick another melon and they were very apologetic. The second melon was delicious and the blackberries were sweet. I can highly recommend this place for fresh and delicious produce with a guarantee for perfection. See more..

   This local attraction has been in the Cowpens area for over 30 years and is almost a hidden gem. There is a walking tour with plenty of scary areas and spooks to head you in the right direction. Then there is a tractor ride with a trailer that has cushion seats, searching for the, "Wampus Monster." There are hidden speakers which give you a running commentary. All tranctions are cash, so have two dollars for each car and twenty dollars for each person (victim). Also don't forget to get two hot dogs with homemade chili, cheese, onions, canned soda, a small bag of chips, for $6.00. if you like haunted attractions such as, Netherworld, Fear Farm, etc. this is one place you want to visit.    There are two primary reasons one would choose to visit this site outside of the annual festival which the town holds. The first is that it lists local people who have served and given their life in service to their country. The second is that it specifically honors those who have served on one of the two Naval Vessels which have been named the Cowpens. One vessel was used during WWII and the other is currently in service. My grandfather rode the WWII aircraft carrier home from the Pacific Theater following the Japanese surrender. I always wanted to take him to the annual celebration or those that served, but I never got to do so. Therefore, I chose to visit the park to honor his service the first time I was ever in the vicinity of the City. Unfortunately, the City does little to promote or recognize the park except for during the annual event where those who served on the two vessels are invited to town to be recognized for their service.
