We had an excellent two day, one overnight experience with Danny in August of 2022. Although the change in weather made the launch out of Bayfield a bit questionable for some time, the guides made the most out of the circumstances, and we were able to successfully launch and partake in our kayaking experience to Sand Island. The food was plentiful and filling, and the group my friend and I were paired with was perfect. We all got along great, and everyone had an easy-going 'can-do' attitude throughout. I would definitely recommend Lost Creek Adventures to others looking to partake in an Apostle Islands guided getaway! See more..

We have put away our wares for the winter. Look for Wren to reopen Memorial Day weekend, 2018. We will spend the winter planning and creating for our ever-evolving gallery on the Lake Superior harbor in Cornucopia. We will continue featuring original clothing, sculpture, pottery, jewelry, and more at 22640 Siskiwit. See more..

    Ehlers General Store image
Historic Ehlers General Store serving the South Shore of Lake Superior for 102 years. One of the oldest general stores in Wisconsin. We have lots of locally grown and made items from cheese to soap, local arts and crafts, beef and lamb. Organic groceries, beer and wine. Our little deli makes unique sandwiches and salads daily. Our smoked whitefish dip is the best on the south shore, made with Sassy Nanny goat cheese and locally smoked whitefish. As Herman Ehlers said "if we don't have it, you don't need it. See more..

It is well worth the hike. It’s beautiful. Just don’t think you’ll find a shortcut by taking the snowmobile trail back to the parking lot or going through the woods. Be sure to check out Siskiwit falls too. See more..

We love stopping here when we are in the area. They have the best smoked fish so we always get the smoked trout or salmon. They sell fresh fish as well, but you need to get there early for the best selection that's right off the boats. See more..
  7. 4.5 Cornucopia Harbor Area (2 reviews)
    - A lovely little lakeshore harbor
    Marinas
    Cornucopia Harbor Area image
During our tour of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore, my husband and I stopped in Cornucopia at the beach. It was past the end of the season, so the Green Shed Museum was closed, but we were able to walk along the lakeshore and take in the lovely views. In addition to the museum, there are public restrooms just off the parking lot (which were open) and a small marina lined with pretty little boat houses and a bait shop. It looked for all the world like a little village around a lagoon. There is an artesian well (accessed by a spigot with a foot-operated handle) right at the parking lot for the beach that is available to the public for no charge. I filled up my water bottle, and the water is refreshingly pure. Even after the end of the summer season, it was worth stopping in Cornucopia to visit the beach and marina. I’m glad we did! See more..
