The Rock River Water Trail is a designated National Water Trail. The water trail meanders down a gentle gradient through beautiful rural and wilderness landscapes and vibrant urban riverfronts to safely carry the water traveler 320 miles from the headwaters above the Horicon National Wildlife Refuge in south central Wisconsin to the Mississippi River at the Quad Cities of Illinois and Iowa. The Rock River Water Trail is of national significance for its great diversity and landscape, vista, recreation, cultural, and historic experience, and for its ease of accessibility. There are 155 access sites on the water trail, 50 of which are designated as accessible to persons with disabilities. Access sites are signed with the logo of the Rock River Water Trail. Sixteen river-access camping facilities are included in the trail inventory, with additional facilities within the river corridor. The Beloit section of the Trail offers various access points for boats, kayaks and canoes. The Beloit portion also offers walking paths along the river bank as well as great spots for fishing and nature watching. See more..

I brought the grandkids there when they were here for a week. We had the best time. Water is clean, life guards on duty and wasnt too expensive to go and swim. If you want to go to the deeper water and dive and stuff they charge you .25 I think it was to do a swim test... Noone was out of control and all were very friendly.. See more..

The mill is open on Saturdays and Sundays, 1-4pm, May-October. Beckman Mill is located at Beckman Mill County Park, 6 miles west of Beloit, Wisconsin. On the grounds of the 50-acre county park you will see an authentically restored 1868 grist mill, a new dam, mill pond,fish ladder, foot bridge, saw mill display, 1840s cooperage, visitor center, gift shop, creamery, blacksmith shop, picnic shelter, vintage garden, nature trail and more. The showpiece of the park is the Beckman Mill, the restoration of which was completed in 1997 by the Friends of Beckman Mill's volunteer work crew. It is operational with power being supplied by its original 1860s water driven Leffel turbine. In the event alternate power is needed, the mill can be operated by its vintage two-cylinder gasoline engine. The mill was built shortly after the Civil War by millwright William Howe of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin. In 1882 it was acquired by August Beckmann who had previously operated mills in nearby Juda and Hanover. The mill was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. We stop here most Sundays in the fall in mid morning and bring home a weeks worth of fresh tasty apples, donuts and other treats. They grow apples on site and make the apple cider donuts fresh in front of you. Apple pies, caramel apples, popcorn, jams, spices, sauces etc. They usually have several types of apples cut up for tasting which is neat to be able to try different types. Parking is usually ample and they frequently have someone cooking outside selling sandwiches for a good cause. See more..

Went there with my husband for a 8 ball tournament. It is a very nice, well run pool tournament very nice tables with the except that they used the measle cue ball. The site has a small, landscaped river walk which is great for watching ducks / geese floating by and leads nowhere but the adjacent parking lot. Parking for your trip is adjacent to the John Rose Canoe & Kayak Launch in the Chester Square Public Parking Lot. Hilliard Park is a neighborhood Park with a pavilion, restrooms and playground equipment. What makes this park slightly unusual is its nine-hole disc golf course. Disc golf is played much like traditional golf, but instead of a ball an club, players use a flying disc. The course is located at a 6.6 acre park nestled among some of the largest oak trees found in Beloit. This course is located in a neighborhood park with ample street parking. This course is recognized by Professional Disc Golf Association. This is a permanent course with baskets and a flat terrain. The entire course is 2,358 feet. The site has an abundant collection of plants and animals that call it home including various plants such as Partridge Peas, a plant species not easily found around the Stateline Area. Developing the prairie was a joint project taken on by the city governments of Beloit and South The park is 49 percent tall grass, 40 percent wild flowers, 10 percent legumes and 1 percent fledges. The site offers a parking lot for vehicles and a bike rack. The site contains gravel trains with a small concrete "line" denoting the dividing line between Illinois and Wisconsin within the park. A small, but interesting park with a great view just north of Beloit College. The Beloit water tower is a historic octagonal limestone water tower in Beloit, Wisconsin.The tower, was built in 1885 and abandoned after the completion of a more modern water tower in 1935. The stone water tower is a visible community landmark offering excellent photo opportunities for camera buffs. The tower is on the National Registry of Historic Places. The area surrounding the tower has been developed into Water Tower Park with an ADA accessible walkway. The Water Works Pump House has been completely restored and currently houses the City of Beloit Parks and Leisure Services offices and Friends of Riverfront offices. This spot is a little hard to find, but is a great place to enjoy the Rock River as well as some public art. Located in Downtown Beloit, it is within walking distance of several shops and restaurants. If you have small children, you will need to keep an eye on them, as the river is "right there" and there is no railing or barrier between the sidewalk and the water. See more..
