- 5.0 Real Sudan Tours (77 reviews)
-Great experience!
Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Cultural Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Archaeology Tours
We chose to contact Real Sudan instead if another tour company because they offered more of an experience than other companies and still at a better offer. We were very happy with them, we had contact beforehand via whatsapp so everything was pre arranged and they fulfilled all our needs. The guide Habab is an archeologist and could tell everything about the historical sights visited, amazing! We loved the visit to the water well in Naga where the nomads get their water, you would think there would be some hussle when tourists come but they did not ask for anything such humble people ❤️ Actually during the entire tour we felt very unique like we were the only people visiting! Thanks to Adil the driver who magically got together a delicious lunch in the desert and drove us back and forth safely. See more..

-A Memorable Experience in Sudan with Travel Sudan Tours
Sunday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM City Tours • Multi-day Tours • Cultural Tours • Sports Camps & Clinics • Historical & Heritage Tours • Coffee & Tea Tours • Private Tours • Self-Guided Tours & Rentals • Escape Games • Paint & Pottery Studios • 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Taxis & Shuttles • Fishing Charters & Tours • Boat Rentals • Hiking & Camping Tours • Archaeology Tours • Day Trips
When planning my trip I requested quotes from various tour companies. As a South African who has done historical tours in different countries such as Egypt and Ethiopia I found Travel Sudan Tours provides an experience beyond what one would expect from a Tour company. I was happy with Travel Sudan Tours even before going on my trip because of the level of engagement in assisting me to prepare for this trip. The itinerary I had requested usually takes about a minimum of 9 days but Travel Sudan Tours managed to create a package that would allow me to do it in just 6 days. I had been waiting to experience a travel back in time through the glorious kingdom of Kush since 2019 and I’m glad Travel Sudan Tours was there to make it a very memorable experience for me which I will cherish for life See more..
- 5.0 Al Salam Health Club (1 review)
-Great gym, swimming pool and spa facilities
Sunday: 6:30 AM - 10:00 PM Health Clubs
During my stay at Al Salam Hotel in Khartoum, I visited and used the gym, swimming pool and health club facilities. The outdoor swimming pool is large with lush, green surroundings. More importantly it was clean, as an avid swimmer I went to the swimming pool a few times and the water was crystal clear. The gym and health club were also large, well equipped and clean. We received towels and water bottles as well. All in all their health club and recreation facilities were top-notch and I would definitely recommend a visit. Although I did not use their spa, one of my colleagues did and spoke highly of the experience they received. See more..

- 4.5 Naqa (30 reviews)
-Must-see north of Khartoum
Historic Sites • Ancient Ruins • Points of Interest & Landmarks
On our way to the Meroe pyramids, our tour guide and driver from the Italian Tour Company stopped at this UNESCO World Heritage site. The site and carvings were very well-preserved, and the carvings illustrated both the African and Egyptian influences. Take plenty of water and wear a hat - we went in February and it was already quite hot. See more..

- 4.0 Sudan National Museum (252 reviews)
-Our guide made all the difference.
Sunday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Speciality Museums
I visited this museum twice, once with a museum-employed guide and once without. The guide made all the difference explaining all the exhibits and answering questions. One of the statues is of a Nubian pharaoh mentioned in the Bible! This really is a must see when you are in Sudan. Outside the museum there are artists selling their original works, as well. See more..
- 4.0 Nile Street (132 reviews)
-Good Selection of Restaurants and Cafes
Points of Interest & Landmarks
We stopped at a few different spots along Nile street. It’s a great spot to have a meal or a coffee while overlooking the Blue Nile. Plan to spend a bit of time though because the service can be slow. See more..
- 4.0 Tuti Island (65 reviews)
-Sunrise is a must see
Islands
We woke up at 5 a.m. and were able to watch the sun rise from the island, which was very special as we were the only ones on this particular stretch of beach for a good distance. I would certainly recommend it for those who are in Khartoum for more than a few days. I didn't personally wander around the island but those who did said it was an enjoyable experience, and far bigger than expected. At weekends, it seems to be a haven for people to relax and spend time by the Nile. See more..

- 4.0 Ethnographic Museum (28 reviews)
-Khartoum's hidden gem
History Museums
This is a very interesting museum for those interested in life of local people in the past and now. It shows the richness of the desert culture as well as the land that is now the South Sudan. The most impressive is a gigantic war drum made of a hollow tree trunk and in form of stylized bull. I loved little scene inside the tent, the comel saddle cover for women and children or multiple examples of desert crafts, tools or clothing as well as southern Weapons, musical instruments, and sleep paraphernalia. The display organized with lots of care, and worth a visit. See more..
- 4.0 Al Sabalouga (Sabaloka Gorge) (23 reviews)
-Thrilling boat trip
Points of Interest & Landmarks
We found the 6th cataract at the Sabaloga Gorge a thrilling experience. (This is NOT to be confused with the confluence of the Nile, which is somewhat of a damp squib.) Just standing on the shore is no use, you only see the full beauty of the gorge if you take a 45 min. boat ride. The boatman owns a lovely shady garden with decent toilets, where you can rest before and after the trip. He also has a small zoo (crocodile, monkeys, gazelles). Although looking at the Nile is free, you need to pay for the boat ride. See more..
- 4.0 Al Kabir Mosque (22 reviews)
-Currently being renovated
Religious Sites
The Grand Mosque is worth a visit. Currently the mosque is not in use internally as renovations are underway. But the building is nice. Unfortunately the poorly maintained areas around the mosque and all of the air on units on the outside detract from what would be a lovely building. Not especially large, but a Khartoum landmark nonetheless. See more..
