Beautiful beach where you can meet the locals! In the weekends the beach is filled with families having picnic. Few boats ( not like Trou-aux-Bich where swimming is dangerous) so you can easily both swim and snorkle as the locals also do. A lot of beautiful corals close the beach on both sides, you can safely swim all the way to the reef, and to Pointe d'azur. We stayed for two weeks and where lucky to see turtle several times. We visited the Bazar in July and while you get accosted at every single turn by people selling their wares, there are a few gems hidden in here. I was particularly impressed by the mehndi artist we found (young woman who also makes clothes) and then Pamela & Dyllan from Le Secret des Epices (stall 71). We bought a few things from them, and I was pleasantly surprised to find locally made spice combinations for sale, in pretty bags and hanging 'containers' for the same. I prefer buying local and not the standard made in China-keep-in-a-cool-dark-place nonsense you get everywhere, and these two stalls in particular did not disappoint. See more..
