   Sofie has extensive knowledge when it comes to yoga and mindful living that she shares openly in a humble way. But Maldives School of Yoga is more than a yoga school. Travelling to the Maldives with MSOY will give you an experience to remember. Sofie and Haibe showed me that Maldives is so much more than luxury resorts. Wow!! It has such a chilled vibe, beautiful beaches, great snorkling, friendly local community – and that’s just to mention some of the highlights. Sofie and Haibe are genuine and caring guides. They tailored the stay so that it would suit my needs in the best of ways, for instance organizing kite lessons and fishing trips. See more..

   We visited for the morning from Komandoo and glad we made the effort. This group of people are rescuing and rehabilitating turtles, either from the wild or from people keeping them as pets. They do a great job of nursing them back to health and, where possible, releasing them back into the wild. Where this isn't possible they look to get them into large aquariums where they can be looked after but still have a better quality of life. They are also working on a Clownfish breeding programme to reduce and educate about the removal of fish from the wild for the pet trade. They also educate many of the local children about the problems of plastic in the ocean as well as about the marine life around the Maldives.
