   The trip from Labe to Aigel, our base of operations, itself is an adventure, most of it on dirt, potholed roads with many villages. Our accommodations were beside a small village. We lucked into brand new [Dec/18] accommodations with three single beds in each unit. There is a nearby [less than 10M walk] swimming hole which was a joy in the heat. A short late afternoon walk the first day was rather gentle in difficulty, highlighted by visiting a sand processing area worked by women. The meals were fine. The 8H trek on the full day was difficult due to the heat. The recommended 3L of water was pretty much used up by the end of it. We visited three waterfalls, made some steep ascents and appreciated the rugged terrain, some of it otherworldly. By lunch there was a chance to swim in a pool. It felt divine due to the heat. Lunch followed and then the final quarter of the 20k plus walk. I candidly did not enjoy it as much then as writing about it now. See more..
