Picturesque
A lovely stroll along the picturesque seafront took us by the extensive marinas with crafts of various sizes and glamour. Including fine and impressively reconstructed Viking ships. A highlight was a visit to the superb Viking Museum with its fascinating accounts of Viking history and both recovered and reconstructed ships from the time. Afterwards we savoured a fine lunch at Cafe Knarr.

Good place for a stroll
Very beautiful place overlooking the Roskilde Fjord, good place for a stroll, lovely scenery by the water. The harbor and the surranding area offers a nice and cozy atmosphere for a walk with plenty of benches and nice spots to enjoy the view and the life going passing by. If you walk along the western side of the harbour up along the fjord, you can usually enjoy the sunset fairly undisturbed. Roskilde harbor is located at the bottom of Roskilde Fjord. Roskilde city was founded by Vikings more than 1,000 years ago. In the Middle Ages it was one of Northern Europe's most important cities. Roskilde harbor are close to the great cathedral and overlooks the Roskilde Viking Ship Museum (with the great Sea Stallion in all its glory). Several good restaurants. The restaurant vessel boat Saga Fjord sailing around the beautiful Roskilde Fjord. Don't forget to visit Paradis for a scoop of amazing ice cream. A hotspot at the harbor allow you access to wireless internet.
