Roskilde Festival has provided music, mud and mayhem to the people since 1971. Over four days, the festival presents an impressive slew of artists, from established rock gods to exciting newcomers. It is the largest music and culture festival in Northern Europe with eight stages, over 175 artists, 130,000 visitors, and a positive social and environmental attitude to go with it. 32,000 volunteers work tirelessly to transform a field outside of Copenhagen into a mini-city of music which boasts its own supermarket and launderette! The festival is run by a charity that supports children and young people, however, the festival itself has an age-limit of 15.

One of the best festivals in the world!
The weather does not matter! Rainy, sunny,windy, hot or cold north European summerdays and nights, been at the festival with in all, and I always had a great time. Even though you don't know all the bands in the line up, you will get a nice surprise if you show up to any conserts. The atmosphere is awesome, the food is awesome, the crew is awesome. No fights, only happy drunk and sober people enjoying music together ???❤

The Roskilde Festival is a 7 day event with 130.000 people of all ages, camping around the festival grounds. 8 stages, 180 bands of all different music orientations, a multitude of cultural activities. Tents in different sizes and shapes can be booked beforehand. I have been a regular festival participant since 1973 and still love it. Most Danes use it as a sort of safety valve letting steam out. Everything is allowed, as long as you take care of other people. Most big artists has played here - Rolling Stones, Poul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, Prince, Rihanna, Stevie Wonder, Nick Cave, Eminem a.s.o. Check for yourself on roskilde-festival.dk
