One of the most engaging castles in Europe
The beautiful 400-year-old castle is situated in central Copenhagen's popular park, The King's Garden. The castle was built by one of the most famous Scandinavian kings, Christian IV. Today, the glory of the past can be experienced through the numerous art treasures of the previous kings and queens. Among the main attractions is the Great Hall with the coronation thrones and three life-size silver lions standing guard. The crown jewels and royal regalia sparkle behind the thick walls of the treasury beneath the castle.

Beautiful example of renaissance architecture
Well maintained renaissance castle and gardens. Many rooms to visit on multiple floors containing various artifacts spanning 3 centuries. Definitely one of the more interesting castles / palaces I have visited. The free leaflet is excellent, but you can also link to the castle wifi and access a free guide via a QR code. The timeslot indicated on your ticket is for arrival/entrance only - you can stay at Rosenborg for as long as you like. They recommend buying your ticket online, we did not, but you can check the website for availability (it indicates the number of tickets still available for the various timeslots) if you are in the area and decide to visit.

Beautiful castle and park
This old palace is located in a beautiful park filled with flowers and paths and trees. The castle is fascinating and the guidebook had good information about the history and details of the building and the people who lived there. In addition to touring the castle, a museum of royal jewelry is located in the lower level. We enjoyed our visit very much and highly recommend this to people who love history and architecture.
