The wonderful buildings are filled with atmosphere and every corner offers a new experience. The heart of the museum is the classic 1906 sub-tropical winter garden with tall palm trees, a fountain and a fish pool. Best part of our trip to Copenhagen
Copenhagen left us a little underwhelmed, but the Glyptotek and Cafe Patina made our overnight trip worthwhile, despite the fact that neither of us are museum lovers. It is actually possible to access the lockers in the Glyptotek without buying a ticket and, if you have a large suitcase, there are some big lockers, so you can dump your bags and look around the museum or even go out and about in Copenhagen. We visited on a dull, December day and the highlight was sitting in the gloaming in the winter garden, as the afternoon drew to a close. It was quite an intimate and special place. The food in the cafe was good too, even having a couple of vegetarian options.

Art and sculptures
Great museum for sculpture and art. Located in an ornate building with a large glass atrium, we explored several wings filled with art from around the world. We were especially interested in the sculptures and also spent time viewing Danish art. We were there about two hours didn’t have time to see everything, but we’re able to hit the highlights.
