Lalandia Water Park, Zealand, Denmark

3.5 (88 reviews) Spent Ranking #6 in South Zealand Amusement & Theme Parks • Water Parks

Decent water park

We had booked two nights at Lalandia as a stop on our way down to the continent. The house we rented exactly matched the description. We also had the vertical ladder some other mentioned. But we had no problems with it and our bigger kids (aged 7 and 10) slept on the loft. But yes, they could not stand there so the loft was only used for sleeping. Not that we spend much time in the house anyway. The holiday village at Lalandia is fairly large and our house was located approximately 800 meters from the center which was a bit too far for my liking. We were also decidedly unimpressed by the baths. Maybe we are spoiled and had too high expectations, but we were a bit disappointed. The things they have are ok but it is not that much. They do seem to use a lot of chlorine to clean their water since we could feel the smell of it. Towards the afternoon we could also feel it in our eyes. There are a lot of things to do at the center, but almost all of them cost extra. The food in the restaurants was so-so.

    Not too impressed
Returned to Lalandia again this year but did not stay at the resort based on our experiences last year (poor service and value for money on hotel was out of balance). A number of changes have been made which unfortunately did not improve things: All of the water slides in the middle of the dome have been exchanged. Our three kids thought they were cool and together with the wild river it was the main reason for our return visit. They thought the new slides were boring and after about 2.5 hour they thought they had seen it all - We were glad that we didn't book at tthe resort this time around. Locker rooms are now much smaller and lockers are opened/locked with a chip incorporated in a wrist/ankle band. I observed many visitors having problems closing and locking their locker - there are no instructions. Locker room is also a lot smaller now but does not seem so crowded - there are clearly fewer visitors!! Finally, the number of toilets have been reduced, so more people using fewer toilets - I think you get the picture. Having to walk in there barefooted makes you wonder what you are walking around in....
