Byparken City Park, Roskilde, Zealand, Denmark
4.5 (71 reviews) Spent Ranking #5 in West Zealand Parks
At its best with beginnings of autumnal hues
A warm autumn afternoon with heralds of the beginnings of seasonal colours was a lovely occasion to stroll through the delightful space. Leading towards the fjord, it has a fine water area with lots of birds and grand tranquil paths. Popular both with dog owners and not, it is a perfect route from the centre old town to the Viking Museum, and back again.

Great playground and little brook
A lovely little park to go through between the Viking Ships and up to the cathedral and town Centre. The real highlight is if you are coming from the Viking ship museum, stick to the right, as there’s a nice sizable playground for the kids, very well maintained and with good swings and slides among other things. After lunch, the kids wanted to go for a play and we ended up staying there 30 minutes as they had fun. The rest of the park is also pretty, a lovely Brook with the cathedral at the top of the hill.

Take a beautiful stroll from the old town towards the fjord and the Viking Ship museum
The beautiful green park connects the old town of Roskilde and its famous cathedral to the Roskilde fjord and the Viking Ship museum. Walk through the park on your way from one to the other and enjoy this nice green haven in the city.
