A must visit Brewery and Destillery
We were on a trip to CPH and decided to pay Braunstein in Køge a visit. A short traintrip to Køge and we were there. The shop is part of the brewery. They have a large selection of beers and spirits. If you like whiskey you can buy of of their award winning issues. Also they have a rich selection of snaps, aquvit and gin. We were adviced on the different whiskeys by one of their experts. Turned out to be one of the founders. Truly a visit to remember.

Had a great time on our visit to Braunstein - Whiskey Distillery and Brewery
My Brother in law and I visited Braunstein on the first Saturday in July. He had already booked the tickets for the visit before I got to Denmark. So, I was waiting with anticipation for the day to arrive. Braunstein is currently a micro-distillery and craft brewery that is focused on making the best quality beer and whiskey that they can make. They've won several awards doing so, and I enjoyed the very generous tastings of beer, whiskey and other spirits that came with the entry fee. You also get to take home 3 half liter bottles of their craft beer when you leave as a parting gift. The tasting samples and free bottles of beer really cover the cost of the entry fee, which is around $20. They also have a separate whiskey tasting tour option, which I'll probably do on my next visit. They have a little polser (hotdog) grill outside on tour day that is reasonably priced to go along with your beer tasting samples. ? They sell their beer, whiskey and other spirits on site...not cheap, but they aren't trying to compete with Carlsberg on price. Worth the trip if you are going to be in the Copenhagen area for more than just a few days. Let them know if you don't speak Danish and they will try to accommodate you. I speak enough Danish to understand a visit like this, so I didn't bother with English until after the tour.
