We went at 9am just in time for door opening ceremony by the "emperor" and his entourage. The ceremony was probably the highlight of the place. Inside the gate, there was an acrobatic show. The shops inside were selling the same stuff that you would find in the Dali Ancient Town. Left the place after 15 minutes of walk-about. Frankly I opine we could give this make-believe place a miss.

Good for Chinese
Our group arrive about 15:00. There are a small show with traditional Chinese Music , dancing..... You can get dress like KING or Queen or....... This place seem like good for Asia or Chinese.

No historical value
Go if you have time to spare, otherwise give it a miss. It is built for a television series with no historical value. About 30 mins from town.Entrance fee about Rmb 52. A very huge place but some of it are dipilidated because of neglect.
