Shangri-La Highland Craft Brewery, Yunnan, China

5.0 (26 reviews) Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Ranking #13 in Diqing Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Breweries

Amazing place!

We are China's first fully licensed craft brewery located at the foot of the Shangri-La mountain range. In cooperation with Swiss and German beer experts, our beer is still brewed using traditional and manual methods, with special focus placed on the use of pristine resources. Our prime brewing ingredients are all local, including highland barley and alpine spring water.

    Amazing place!
We came to the brewery because we love beer. However, we left loving the mission of the brewery and how it helps others. Loved it! 80 RMB for the tour and samples of all the beer.

Great beers but not a tourist site
Based on several of these reviews, we attempted to arrange a brewery tour. We tried via both WeChat and phone call at two different times and were told they are a production company and not a tourist destination. Perhaps others have had better luck? We were able to sample many of their beer offerings at local places around town, and I would definitely recommend their brews.
