Beautiful tiered waterfalls
As I visited during the low peak season, getting there was challenging, as there wasn’t any direct public bus. I ended up taking 2 public buses plus a short private car ride to the top entrance. Entrance fee is 95rmb. I spent about 3 hours leisurely walking downhill to the bottom exit. By the way, both top and bottom serves as entrances as well as exits. As there was only 1 trail, exploring the area was easy. The tiered waterfalls were picturesque and beautiful, with many photography spots. Suggest to take the bamboo raft (10rmb per pax) which brings visitors closer to the waterfall for better view and photo shoots. Restrooms were located along the trail. Overall, highly recommended to visit.

Silent and relaxing place
I recommend you to visit these waterfalls. They are quite nice and nature all around is simply beautiful. There were only a few tourists, that was really suprising for me in a positive way. It is easy to get there from Luoping, just go to the bus station and show someone picture or name of the waterfalls. One way by bus is 10RMB and it takes about 30 minutes. Entrance fees are 75RMB and 37RMB for students, children and seniors.

Jiulong Waterfalls
Jiulong Waterfalls in Luoping. From Kunming East Bus Station, there are regular public buses to Luoping. Basic accommodation are available near the Luoping Bus Station. The best time to visit Luoping is in early March when the rapeseed fields are in full bloom. Besides the Jiulong Waterfall, other nearby attractions are the Duoyi River Park and the Lubuge mini 3-Gorges cruise. The most efficient way to visit the attractions in one day is to share a minivan (seats 6-8 people, RMB 400/day) with other travelers when you reached the Luoping Bus Station. You can ask the minivan driver to bring you to your hotel (so that you need not lug your luggage) and pick you up the next day.
