    Does not disappoint!
The Temple of Kukulkan is the large pyramid that dominates the Chichen Itza Archaeological Zone. It is also known as “El Castillo” or “The Castle”. All 4 sides of the pyramid have 91 steps plus the top platform (the final “step”) adds up to 365—the number of days in the year. It is 79 feet (24 meters) tall and is very well-preserved. This and the entire Chichen Itza Archaeological Zone are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and deservedly so. The Temple is constructed above a cenote, but there is no access. At night, there is a light show called “Noches de Kukulkan” which is absolutely beautiful and should not be missed (it will cost you a separate entry fee to see the light show). We came here in the afternoon to explore the site and came back in to see the show.

    Absolutely magnificent
Absolutely magnificent to be able to see something like this, one of the New 7 Wonders of the World. If you are in Mexico you need to visit this place and go on a tour here. Hearing the history from our tour guide really added to it so I would recommend you go on a tour here. Our guide also advised to pay by cash only here as it was not safe to pay by card if they offered.
