Secret Cenote near Valladolid Mexico
If you're renting a car, and if you're staying in the adorable colonial city of Valladolid then you must head to the little village of Chichimila to visit this private cenote. You'll likely be the only people there. We drove down a dirt road, and came upon a dilapidated house. A friendly man charged around 25 pesos per person for us to enter. We parked, then walked down the stone steps to a beautiful cenote. Another group of three came a while later, and they jumped in and swam. Magical to be so alone at such a beautiful place. Go weekdays though to ensure you're alone.
