Amazing day at the Royal Armouries!
Initially I was apprehensive to take my two thirteen and eleven year old sisters to the armouries museum. Having never been myself, I didn’t know what to expect and being honest, I thought it would be a tad boring for them. However, I couldn’t have been more wrong! First of all, the staff were friendly, helpful and enthusiastic in informing us what shows were on. Secondly, the museum itself was to a very high standard in terms of cleanliness, quality of the expeditions and the activities it had to offer. We had great fun exploring all of the floors and we enjoyed the show in the tiltyard watching the horses and their riders! The museum was also completely free but we did book before hand as it was a little busy due to the summer holidays. Overall, I would highly recommend this museum for all ages and I thank the staff for their hard work!

    Great attraction
We spent a whole day here and still didn’t manage to see everything. There are some fantastic displays and we saw several excellent shows/talks. We would definitely recommend this to anyone interested in history and/or military but allow plenty of time. The cafe is currently closed so we had to use the on site bistro which is very over priced. They were carrying out maintenance work on the day of our visit which made it a little difficult to get round as various lifts/stairs/corridors were out of use.
