Peasholm Park, Yorkshire, United Kingdom

4.5 (5.199 reviews) Spent Ranking #4 in Yorkshire Bodies of Water • Parks

Beautiful walk

Myself and husband took our dog to the park. It is free to get in. The park is divine. It has a huge lake with dragon boats. Waterfalls and Japanese gardens. The cafe is reasonably priced but if you were a family on a budget you could pack a picnic and it would cost noting. This is a beautiful park. The fact you don’t have to pay to get in was amazing.

Beautiful park with few attractions for families.
Had visited Peasholm Park on couple of occasions during our stay in this region and were astonished with its diverse flora. It's amazing to see so many different trees in one place in such interesting setting. Peasholm Island, which seems to be a central part of this park, is designed to reflect Chinese Willow Pattern and can be accessed through one bridge. This part is open to public between 09:00 and 20:00, while rest of the park can be accessed at anytime. There is limited access prior and during Warfare Battles, which take place just in the middle of water reservoir in Peasholm Park. We did not manage on time to see this performance but it appears to be very popular and highly rated event. It's £12.50 for two adults and one child and tickets can be purchased at entrance to the park and only paid by cash. There are boats and dragon shaped pedalos to hire with half hour time slots available at the price of around £8 for 3 people. This allows enough time to get at least twice around the Peasholm Island. Within this park's premises there are also: mini golf course, Glen Tree Walk, cafe and public toilets. We could have easily spent all day in this park and would not get bored at all. Amount of seagulls and state of public toilets would only be only concerns to bear in mind when visiting Peasholm Park.

    Lovely park
We were on holiday in Yorkshire and across peasholm park when in scarborough. The kids loved the battleship reenactment (£12 for a family ticket I believe) we also had a go on the dragon pedalos (£8 for 30 mins). The park itself has a lovely feel about it, japanese garden theme and is tranquil. There are other things to do there also which we did not try. There parking nearby as well as the mini railway. It all comes under North Bay area.
