Fairly basic but nice

Not far from our Urumqi hotel is Shimogou Park and we stopped by about a week ago when in the city. Nice park, good layout, beautiful ponds and creeks with lots of fish in them, not a must see in Urumqi but definitely a nice spot for a bit of relaxing time, might be really beautiful in winter though.

    Xue Lian Shan Ski Park
    Crazy, busy snow play for the locals. Was only ice when I went, but could be fun after fresh snow. Skis, tubes, etc. for rent and some kind of laser tag. Who is game to find out about that one?

    A regular park in Urumqi
    Nice for people watching, gazillion of colourful fish in the streams and the pond and a nice escape from the scorching heat in the city. A rather nonspectacular Buddhist temple on the top of the hill.
