Great Kayaking Spot!

We went to Drifty's while vacationing in area. This was our family's first time kayaking. The staff was great and patiently answered all our questions. Prices were comparable to other boat rentals. The River was pretty calm and the pick up was on time. We did the shortest trip (about 2 hrs long), but want to do a longer trip in the future. Not too may places we felt comfortable getting out and relaxing/splashing, but the scenery was great! This is definitely a place to go for beginners and beyond.

    Great staff!!!!!
    For starters, we did not rent from them, we had our own kayaks. The day we wanted to kayak, it rained heavily the night before, and I called Drifty's to ask which is the best bridge to put in and take out, and per Tony's guidance, he said "do not go, we got 5 inches of rain and it's not safe ".....phew, am I glad I called! So the next day, I called and got Tony again, once again he was very helpful & just said, there is a big tree down from the storms, but two feet was cut away that you can get through....! Again, it was so nice to have that information before going out. We did use Drifty's for a ride back to bridge one so we dropped our vehicles off by bridge 5 for a small fee. Totally worth it. We will definitely use Drifty's for that service as long as we have vehicles to bring our kayaks.

    Wonderful day on the Kickapoo with assistance from Drifty’s
    This is the 3rd year in a row that we have canoed the Kickapoo and used Drifty’s shuttle service. They are extremely accommodating and know all the features of this picturesque river. If you are looking for a satisfying paddling experience try the Kickapoo and use Drifty’s Canoe Rental.
