Great trip, thanks Captain Bob

I took Captain Bob's boat tour and am so glad I did. He was a fountain of information and showed us many of the secrets of the Apostle Islands. My daughter is still talking about it. 5 stars plus!

Great Half Day with Deep Blue
My wife, daughter, and I rented the Deep Blue from Captain Bob's for half a day. Everything went very well. The boat was excellent--very fast, and about as good at cutting through the Lake Superior waves as one could hope. Our experience with the staff and the paperwork was great as well. We highly recommend renting a boat from here, as a great way to experience the Apostle Islands.

Knowledgeable marine guide with a poetic side
We were happy to find our way to Captain Bob's Marina on Madeline Island during our summer vacation. As newcomers to the Apostle Islands, we wanted to tour the surrounding islands with someone knowledgeable and sensitive to the needs of our varied family group (ages 24 to 81). "Captain Bob" was the perfect guide for us. He was personable and flexible, offering options to rent one of his runabouts if we were experienced boaters, or to take us out himself. As relatively inexperienced mariners with a healthy respect for the "Big Water" of Lake Superior, we were glad we asked Captain Bob to guide us. A long-time resident, he has deep knowledge of the history and wildlife of the area. We visited the lighthouse on Raspberry Island, taking a great Park Service tour while there, and then the sea caves on the northern side of Devil's Island. Bob kept us safe and in good humor during our four hour outing. Highly recommended for those seeking a taste of the Apostle Islands with a friendly expert guide or water taxi access to the wilder islands in the chain.
