Seafood Dinner Cruise

Overall a pleasant experience. The crew was friendly, the cruise enjoyable but the food was marginal. The food had been prepared well in advance and barely kept warm. By the time you made it through the buffet line and returned to your seat, your food was cold. Perhaps the Captain could have pointed out some of the sites along the way as well. Given the price, we expected more.

    Monday Night Fiesta Cruise Success
We did the fiesta cruise this past season and had a great time. There was not enough room left by the time our group of 15 boarded for all of us to be together, but we improvised. If you have a group, I would recommend getting to the dock 15-30 minutes before your recommended arrival time so that you are first on the boat...it's first come, first serve seating. If you don't do this, you could end up scattered around the boat depending on where the folks in line ahead of you sit. Technically, there are enough seats for every passenger. It won't be an issue if there are just two of you. But the more people you have, and the later in line you are to get on the boat, the less your odds of being able to sit all together. That said, this was a really fun thing to do with friends. I would recommend it for adults and maybe more mature teens. Any younger, and they might get bored after awhile. I would not take my middle school aged kiddos with me on this cruise because they don't find the same value in good conversation and atmosphere that I do. I thought the food was very good. I have no complaints about the food...it wasn't spectacular, but it was above average and exceeded my expectations. I would give the cruise 5 stars but found the drinks way over priced. Sorry, but 7 bucks plus a tip for a little margarita just because it's on a boat is excessive. If you get two drinks, I think the second one is free. Still...after paying almost $40 for the cruise itself, it seemed like the drinks could have been a little more reasonably priced. Overall, this is something I would do every year or two just for fun. It's neat to cruise around the lake and view the scenery. The Madison skyline at nightfall is pretty cool to see.
