Paddle the Flambeau River
This is a great place to rent a canoe and paddle down the river. The trip we took was super easy and just the right length (4 hours) for us. Not sure what all of the options are but this is what was recommended to us given that we had not paddled a river before. The tavern itself is a step back in time! Carm and Mark could not have been more gracious. A storm came up while we were out and Mark came to meet us at the halfway mark (although we had passed by already, it was very kind of him to come and wait for us!). The sun came back out and we saw several eagles as we paddled along. Putting in and getting out were very easy. Highly recommend a stop here if you are in the area without your own canoe. Paddling down the Flambeau is not to be missed!
