Betty's Berry Farm, Alabama, United States

5.0 (3 reviews) Spent 1-2 hours Ranking #1 in Wilmer Farms

Lovely Side Trip

We stopped at this “U pick” Blueberry Farm on our way to Gulf Shores and it was delightful. We paid $10 for 4 adults and 2 toddlers to pick a gallon of fresh blueberries. The owner was friendly, with a sweet little dog. There was an antique restored tractor and a swinging bench for photos. Different varieties are planted to make certain there will be fresh berries available for picking all summer. All in all, it was a delightful way to spend an hour and break up the 8 hour drive to the beach.

Fresh berries not too far from home
Betty’s Berry farm has a large track of land full of berry bushes that you can pick. Buckets and liners are provided and the cost is $10 a bucket. This was a fun and safe outing during Covid and it was not too far of a drive from central Mobile.

    Pick your blues away
Fat juicy sweet blueberries--acres of them--are available for the picking at this spectacular secret spot near the Mississippi-Alabama border. A few varieties of berry bushes nearly 3 decades in age and plenty to pick at very inexpensive prices per pound. No pesticides and family-owned, you could not pick a better way to spend a few hours in the morning with the family or friends, and gather enough fresh berries for pie, breakfast, and snacking.
