Informative Displays of the Mountains and Mountain Climbing
You come to Nepal to see the ancient architecture and the Mountains. So of coarse Nepal has a Museum displaying information about the Mountains of Nepal and the mountain climbers and equipment used to climb the mountains. Very informative displays in a multi-story museum building. Once you are done seeing the museum exhibits, you can go outside and be amazed by the views of the mountains that are in the background of the Museum - very stunning views!

3 hours well spend
I greatly enjoyed reading about the historical aspect of mountaineering. The museum also displayed historical artifact of the region & its people. i could have stayed longer, but the museum closed one hour earlier - no reason given.

Great way to spend the afternoon in Pokhara
I love museums, history, and learning about the local culture this museum checked all those boxes for me! If you have a free day while in Pokhara I would definitely recommend making a stop here. It's not the kind of Museum that you need to spend all day. I I took a taxi from Middlepath street in Lakeside and they charged me 500NR but you can easily take the bus for much less and have a more local experience.
