Lake Kivu Kibuye Boat Trip with Claude
I went on a great, 3 hour, boat trip with Claude, would definitely recommend anyone (also solo, female travelers) to go on a boat trip with him! (+250789085982, Kibuye) He is very good at making the boat ride as pleasant as possible and thinks along with the planning or any restrictions you might have. The volcanic islands you can visit are tiny but stunning, you can see many birds, but also monkeys. Furthermore, there are some interesting social - historical stories about Lake Kivu that Claude can explain very well. He is a well educated, friendly, happy, young man who has knowledge on geography, history and African languages. I had a great time, and wish Claude the best for the future!

Beautiful lake, beautiful tour!
After reading the reviews here, we decided to hit Claude up on his phone. It was easy to arrange a tour with him for the next day in the morning. We did three islands (monkey island, Napoleon island and peace island). Claude knew a lot about the lake, its history and the country in general. The islands were so beautiful, we hiked to the top of Napoleon island where you enjoy a breathtaking view over the whole region, went swimming in the lake and even saw a monkey! We thought it was reasonably priced and very well organised, he knows what he's doing. I really recommend doing a lake Kivu tour if you're in the region and do it with Claude, he's a genuinely nice guy and very knowledgeable. Here's his number: +250 789 085 982

Amazing boat trip with Claude
After going through reviews on boat trips in Kibuye, We decided to take our chances and engaged Claude. We made our booking over the phone-where he also took the liberty to explain the different tours he offers.He actually gave us a discount! He was punctual and took us to 3 main islands which are: Monkey, Napoleon and Peace. He would explain the history behind each of the islands in detail. He helped us to hike Napoleon Island and we managed to capture the beautiful views of Lake Kivu. He also showed us around the beautiful town of Kibuye and went with us to different hotels for lunch and dinner. I recommend Claude to anyone who will visit Kibuye.
