Worth the wet, windy trip from Bergen

Enchanting residence of the composer Edvard Grieg and his wife, who lived there every summer from 1885 to 1907. The museum also comprises the chamber music hall, Troldsalen, where daily concerts are held during the summer season. Museum building with shop, exhibition and cafeteria.

Great excursion out of Bergen - with a piano concert and museum visit
This is a perfect excursion place. I stayed in Bergen only for a day (cruise) and decided to worship one of the great composers of romantic classical music. I was not lucky enough to catch one of the regular free busses that leave from the tourist information office in the harbor, so I took a tram and walked for 15 minutes to find the place. The museum is rather small and visted in half an hour, but in combination with one of the regular concerts happening in the hall, it is a great idea. You can also stroll around the beautiful nature at the lake.

    The house of E.Grieg
My grandmother was a soloist. She was singing in opera until the time of World War 2. In her repertoire which was suggested later for us her grandchildren there were songs music to which was composed by Edward Grieg. I bought ticket with the concert in Troldhaugen. Grieg music is perfect!
