Geiranger Skywalk - Dalsnibba, Western Norway, Norway

Breathtaking. A must.
This is a must. The view is incredible, both on the way up and from the viewpoint. We arrived in the evening (full light of course) and the sun, when it came out from behind the clouds, just made the whole thing breathtaking. Please note: you have to pay to get to the viewpoint. I don't know if it's like that always or just because we arrived sort of post tourist season (end of August) - but there is no one at the checkpoint and you have to pre-pay online and scan the ticket. The problem? There is no mobile connection whatsoever when you get there. We had to go down until we got reception, and then come back. So do that ahead of time to save the hassle.

Spectacular views
It's about a 30 minute drive up the mountain to get to the top. Along the way the views are spectacular. It starts off with green scenery and as you ascend you start seeing more snow. One mile up there is a lake that was still frozen. We also came across a few waterfalls. When you reach the top you get a a whole view of the fiord. This is part of the UNESCO World Heritage site. At the top they have bathrooms and a souvenir shop.

It's a must! the view is truly beautiful!
We've been to Dalsnibba twice during our summer vacation. To get there you need to pay a toll (190 NOK for cars if I am not mistaken) and drive around 2 kms to the top. The view is very nice on your way up but Dalsnibba faces mostly the Geiranger fjord. The first time we went there the weather was quite bad, rainy & windy so we didn't understand much. We appreciated a bit of the foggy view and the effort put into the construction of the place (it's metallic terrace/grid). Two days later when we got back the sun was up and the skies were clear. The whole experience flipped 180 - it is a truly amazing view. The souvenir shop next to the terrace shares the same beautiful views where you can drink a coffee and try their freshly cooked pastries - we tried the cinammon buns and they were delicious!
