Assembly Rooms
We managed to visit only Shoetstuene Museum. In August 2023 Hanaeatic Museum was closed. Tour only to Shoetstuene is very informative by itself. Main part of the Museum is consisted from the collection of Assembly Rooms which were the center of social life at Bryggen - the centre of trade that belonged to German Trading Hanseatic League centuries ago

Awesome unique history
We walked through Jakobsfjorden to Schotstuene (part of Hanseatic musem). The main museum is under reconstruction as the building is sinking and apparently will take 6 years to repair. So for now the museum is partly closed. But the experience still provides great context to understanding the Hanseatic period and relationship to this area. Be sure to stay for the 3pm guided walking tour that comes as part of your entry fee. It really is terrific.
