Best way to see the fjords
Our RIB boat tour was in one word: Amazing! The captain was very knowledgeable about the area and shared tons of stories and local legends, he even sang a folk song for us. The boat itself was so much fun zooming in and out of the fjord branches. This was my favorite boat ride of our trip and defiantly the best way to experience the fjords!

Single best experience in Norway
I thought I was going on a “fjord cruise.” An impersonal trip on a huge, slow boat with 100s of people. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Just a handful of us in a speedboat, zipping around the fjord, getting right up close to the best sights. Literally touching a waterfall with my hand. Stopping periodically to give background information and answer questions. Our tour guide is an 11th generation resident of Balestrand. He was very attentive and addressed the interests and questions of the individual participants. He has a witty sense of humor and was very accommodating to all. He speaks very good English and was easy to understand. His knowledge of the local history is unparalleled. Your only disappointment will be that it has to end.

Excellent, fun, exhillarating, educational
A brilliant ride in a fast rib with Olly our skipper providing good humour and parting his wisdom and knowledge on this 2 hour ride into the lesser travelled corners of the fjords. Highly recommend doing this morning activity followed by a good afternoon hike whilst in Balestrand as the village is quite quiet. A good full day out
